Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Available for Monday
Gustavsson (illness) is expected to return to the lineup in Monday's road game versus Colorado, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports.
Due to Gustavsson's absence, Dylan Ferguson was Marc-Andre Fleury's backup in Saturday's 6-2 loss to Nashville. Ferguson returned to AHL Iowa on Sunday. Gustavsson was going to start Monday's matchup initially, but it's unclear if his illness changed those plans. He has posted a record of 18-9-3 with a 2.58 GAA and a .914 save percentage across 31 appearances this season.

Wild's Dylan Ferguson: Returns to AHL
Ferguson was reassigned to AHL Iowa on Sunday.
Minnesota recalled Ferguson on an emergency basis to occupy the backup role behind Marc-Andre Fleury in Saturday's 6-2 loss to Nashville. Ferguson's demotion to the minors likely bodes well for the availability of Filip Gustavsson (illness) ahead of Monday's road matchup versus Colorado. Gustavsson could still make his scheduled start versus the Avalanche.

The 23-year-old center has matched his 82-game point total from last year with 40 points through 46 outings in 2024-25. Wild's Mats Zuccarello: Logs power-play helper
Zuccarello posted a power-play assist and two hits in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Predators.
This is the first time Zuccarello has logged exactly one point in a game in January -- he opened the month with four multi-point efforts and three scoreless outings over seven contests. The 37-year-old winger hasn't been able to string together any significant streaks, as his longest one was four games in October. Still, he has 11 goals, 22 helpers, 67 shots on net and a plus-7 rating over 33 appearances in a top-six role.

Wild's David Jiricek: Gets first goal of season
Jiricek scored a goal and added two hits in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Predators.
The goal was Jiricek's first point over five games as a member of the Wild. The team has sheltered the 21-year-old defenseman even with the organization's defensive depth being heavily tested with three top-four blueliners injured currently. Jiricek has two points, eight shots on net, 12 hits, seven blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 11 appearances between Minnesota and Columbus this season.

The 23-year-old is up to 18 goals, 41 points (12 on the power play), 161 shots on net, 35 PIM and a plus-3 rating across 46 appearances. Boldy has been excellent in the absence of Kirill Kaprizov (lower body), though Boldy has also held his own when on the second line when the Wild are closer to full strength.

Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury: Struggles in Saturday's loss
Fleury allowed five goals on 37 shots in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Predators. The sixth goal was an empty-netter.
Fleury had one of his worst performances of the season. He allowed more goals in Saturday's contest than in his first three games in January combined. The 40-year-old netminder slipped to 9-4-1 with a 2.72 GAA and a .906 save percentage over 15 games. Filip Gustavsson (illness) was unavailable to play Saturday but was penciled in to start Monday's road game against the Avalanche. If Gustavsson can't play in that contest, Fleury would likely get the nod again.

Brodin (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Saturday.

He has accounted for four goals, 16 points, 54 shots on net and 67 blocked shots through 31 appearances this season.

Wild's Jonas Brodin: Won't make two-game trip
Brodin (lower body) will not join the Wild for their two-game road trip, Sarah McLellan of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports Friday.
Considering Brodin has already missed four games due to his lower-body issue, and will now be out for at least two more, he figures to be a strong candidate for injured reserve if Minnesota needs the roster spot. It's a tough blow for the veteran blueliner, as he has registered a point in six of his last seven outings for a combined two goals and five helpers. With Brock Faber (upper body) back in action, the last spot on the blue line will go to Travis Dermott or David Jiricek -- at least until Brodin is given the all-clear.

Wild's Kirill Kaprizov: Won't travel with team
Kaprizov (lower body) won't travel with the Wild for their upcoming two-game road trip, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Although Kaprizov has appeared to trend in the right direction in his recovery recently, he'll be unavailable for at least two more games while on long-term injured reserve. The 27-year-old will be eligible to return to game action whenever he's deemed fully healthy, and his next chance to suit up will be at home against Utah on Thursday.

Wild's Brock Faber: Will play Saturday
Faber (upper body) will be in the lineup to face the Predators on Saturday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Faber returned following a four-game stint on the shelf due to his upper-body injury. Prior to his absence, the 22-year-old Minnesota native was stuck in a five-game goal drought during which he registered one assist, eight shots and seven blocks. In addition to retaking his top-pairing assignment, Faber figures to link up with the No. 1 power-play unit, a role that he's been successful in, as he's recorded seven of his 20 points this year with the man advantage.
