Wild's Mats Zuccarello: Activated off IR
Zuccarello (lower body) was taken off injured reserve ahead of Friday's clash with the Islanders, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Zuccarello should be in line for a top-six role as he makes his 2025-26 season debut. In 69 games for the Wild last year, the veteran winger notched 19 goals and 35 helpers, including 16 power-play points. Even if Zuccarello doesn't miss any more games this year, he won't reach the 70-game mark for the third straight season, which could also stop him from getting over the 20-goal threshold.

Wild's Jesper Wallstedt: In goal Friday
Wallstedt will get the starting nod on the road against the Islanders on Friday, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.
Wallstedt has yet to lose in regulation this season, posting a 1-0-2 record to go with a 3.46 GAA and .863 save percentage. With Filip Gustavsson taking the first game of the Wild's back-to-back versus the Hurricanes on Thursday, it will fall to Wallstedt to feature the second night. While Wallstedt hasn't been in peak form, Gustavsson hasn't performed significantly better, so fantasy managers may want to monitor their usage over the next several games to see if Wallstedt can steal a few extra starts.

Wild's Brock Faber: Eight points in last six games
Faber scored a goal in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Hurricanes.
Faber wired a snapshot from the right circle that put Minnesota up 2-1. He has woken up in a huge way in his last six games. Faber has all eight (two goals, six assists) of his points in his last six games (18 shots). The window to acquire him from a frustrated fantasy manager is likely gone.

Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Rough start continues
Gustavsson made 23 saves in a 4-3 loss to Carolina on Thursday night.
This season has been a rough go for Gustavsson, who sports a 4-7-1 record, 3.19 GAA and .896 save percentage in 12 starts. That's a far cry from his stand-out 31-19-6 record, 2.56 GAA and .914 save percentage in 58 starts last season. Gustavsson is better than his record indicates, but his ratios are a drag on cumulative fantasy categories where it can be hard to overcome a slow start.

Wild's Matt Boldy: Two goals in loss
Boldy scored two goals in a 4-3 loss to Carolina on Thursday.
It was his 300th NHL game. Boldy's first was a tap-in from the slot after a turnover by the Canes. His second was a redirection near the left post on the power play that tied the game 3-3 just 37 seconds into the second frame. Boldy has 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) in 15 games; this was his first multi-point effort since the start of the season when he put up back-to-back three-point games to start the season.

Wild's Marcus Johansson: Seven-game, nine-point streak
Johansson picked up an assist Thursday in a 4-3 loss against the Hurricanes.
Johansson has nine points (five goals, four assists) in a seven-game point streak. At 35, the Swede's game has slowed, but it helps to skate with Kirill Kaprizov and Marco Rossi. Johansson is a great fantasy play right now. He has six goals, seven assists and 26 shots in 15 games, but the pace will slow -- his 23.1 shooting percentage is almost double his career mark of 12.4.

Wild's Nicolas Aube-Kubel: Two points in Iowa's win
Aube-Kubel scored a goal and added an assist in AHL Iowa's 3-2 win over Chicago on Thursday.
Aube-Kubel started slow for Iowa, but he's earned all five of his points over the last five games (one goal, four assists). The 29-year-old forward hasn't gotten a look with Minnesota yet this year, but he represents a physical forward who could step into a fourth-line role if injuries pile up for the big club.

Wild's Adam Benak: Another three-point game
Benak scored a goal on six shots and added two assists in OHL Brantford's 4-3 overtime loss to Peterborough on Thursday.
Benak is generating two points per game after his fourth multi-point effort in his last five contests. The Wild prospect has nine goals and 21 helpers over 15 appearances in total. Through Thursday's action, Benak trails only his Bulldogs teammate and Kraken prospect Jake O'Brien (33) in points in the OHL.

Wild's Mats Zuccarello: Not available Thursday
Zuccarello (lower body) has been ruled out for Thursday's game in Carolina, per Joe Smith of The Athletic.
Zuccarello has a good chance to return to the lineup Friday against the Islanders. The 38-year-old native of Norway will miss his 15th game of the season. He will replace Marcus Johansson on the top line, alongside Kirill Kaprizov and Marco Rossi, if he is cleared to play Friday.

Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Tending twine Thursday
Gustavsson will start Thursday's road game against Carolina, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.
Gustavsson has picked up wins in each of his last two outings, and he'll draw a fifth consecutive start Thursday. He's had a shaky start to the season overall, going 4-6-1 with a 3.11 GAA and .900 save percentage over 11 appearances. The Hurricanes are generating 3.58 goals per game to begin the season, which ranks fourth in the league.

Wild's Carter Klippenstein: Racks up three points Wednesday
Klippenstein scored a goal and added two assists in WHL Brandon's 9-4 win over Swift Current on Wednesday.
Klippenstein entered Wednesday on a four-game point drought following his three-assist effort Oct. 25 versus Lethbridge. The Wild prospect has three goals and six assists across 13 games this season, which isn't all that impressive, but it's a better pace than his 28-point effort in 58 regular-season games last year. His best-case scenario is to develop into a bottom-six defensive ace who can win puck battles all over the ice.

Wild's Brock Faber: Picks up pair of helpers
Faber logged two assists and six blocked shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Predators.
Faber has logged three multi-point efforts over his last five games to get his offense on track. That's also corresponded with an uptick in power-play usage, which is where he's earned four of his six assists in that span. The 23-year-old has a goal, seven points, 35 shots on net, 28 blocks and a minus-7 rating across 14 appearances this season.

Wild's Zeev Buium: Scores on power play Tuesday
Buium scored a power-play goal in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Predators.
Buium snapped a three-game point drought with the tally. The 19-year-old defenseman has three goals and six assists through 14 appearances, with six of his nine points coming on the power play. He's added 19 shots on net, four blocked shots, three hits, two PIM and a minus-11 rating. Relying on power-play production alone makes Buium a bit volatile for fantasy, but he has plenty of scoring potential with little upside in other areas.

Wild's Marcus Johansson: Two points in overtime win
Johansson scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Predators.
Johansson's winner was one of the stranger ways to end a game, as he was awarded the tally at 3:38 of overtime after the officials ruled that Justus Annunen intentionally dislodged the net from its moorings. Johansson was attempting a quick shot off a Kirill Kaprizov pass, but the first shot went wide, bouncing off the side of the net before Johansson corralled the puck and shot it through where the posts should have been. That was enough for the referees to give the goal, allowing the 35-year-old to end with the unique statistic of having a goal without officially being credited with a shot on goal. Johansson has five goals and three assists during a six-game point streak and is up to 12 points through 14 outings this season.

Wild's Kirill Kaprizov: Two points against Nashville
Kaprizov recorded a power-play goal and an even-strength assist in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Predators.
Kaprizov didn't earn a point in a 5-2 win over the Canucks on Saturday, but he didn't waste time returning to the scoresheet in Tuesday's win. The Russian winger continues to produce at a high level, collecting 18 points (eight goals, 10 assists) through 14 contests in 2025-26.

Wild's Stevie Leskovar: Off injured reserve
Leskovar (wrist) was activated off non-roster, injured reserve and reassigned to ECHL Iowa on Wednesday.
Leskovar had a goal, six points and 76 PIM in 35 regular-season appearances with OHL Brampton in 2024-25. He'll probably spend the remainder of the campaign in the minors.
