Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: First goalie off Monday
Vejmelka was the first goalie off during Monday's morning skate, Cole Bagley of KSL Sports reports, indicating that he'll draw the home start against the Kings.
Vejmelka has been sharp over his last two starts, going 2-0-0 with just one goal allowed on 60 shots in those contests. He'll have a favorable matchup against the Kings, who are scoring just 2.68 goals per game this year, which is the sixth-worst mark in the NHL.

Mammoth's Logan Cooley: Out indefinitely
Cooley (lower body) is out indefinitely, the team announced Monday.
Cooley will miss his second straight game against the Kings on Monday and will be out for an extended period of time. He has collected 14 goals, 23 points, 59 shots on net and 34 hits across 29 appearances this season. With Cooley unavailable, Barrett Hayton has a chance to lock down a top-six role.

Mammoth's Vitek Vanecek: Gets no help Saturday
Vanecek turned aside 21 of 22 shots in Saturday's 2-0 loss to the Flames, with Calgary's final goal getting scored into an empty net.
Yegor Sharangovich banged home a rebound just 16 seconds into the first period, and while it proved to be the only goal Vanecek would allow, the Mammoth were never able to solve Dustin Wolf in the other crease. Vanecek's best performance of the season went to waste, continuing a futile stretch for the 29-year-old netminder. He hasn't won a game since Oct. 26, going 0-5-1 over his last six starts with a 3.33 GAA and .860 save percentage.

Mammoth's Cameron Hebig: Hat trick in AHL win
Hebig scored three goals in AHL Tucson's 6-2 win over San Jose on Saturday.
Hebig was limited to three helpers over seven contests between multi-goal games. This was the third time this year he's potted at least two goals in an outing. For the season, the forward has 11 goals, 19 points and 60 shots on net over 21 appearances with the Roadrunners.

Mammoth's Jonathan Castagna: Logs two points
Castagna scored a goal and added an assist in Cornell University's 7-2 win over St. Lawrence University.
Castagna is putting together a strong year with six goals and nine points over 11 appearances for Cornell. He was limited to 15 points in 32 outings last year but also put up 25 points in 35 games as a freshman in 2023-24. Castagna's tracking on his best pace in an NCAA season, which should help his status among the Mammoth's prospects.

Mammoth's Vitek Vanecek: Slated starter Saturday
Vanecek is expected to start on the road against Calgary on Saturday, per Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan.
Vanecek hasn't earned a win since Nov. 9, but he's been used sparingly, posting a record of 0-2-1 with a 3.57 GAA and an .859 save percentage since his last victory. The 29-year-old has a 2-5-1 record, 3.11 GAA and .869 save percentage in eight appearances this season. Calgary ranks 32nd in goals per game with 2.34.

Mammoth's Logan Cooley: Late scratch Saturday
Cooley is a late scratch for Saturday's clash in Calgary because of a lower-body injury.
Cooley will undergo further evaluation when the team returns to Utah after Saturday's action. The Mammoth host the Kings on Monday, and an update on the 21-year-old center should arrive before that contest. He has 14 goals and 23 points in 29 outings in 2025-26. Barrett Hayton will draw back in against the Flames on Saturday after being a healthy scratch for the last two games due to Cooley's absence.

Mammoth's John Marino: Pots empty-netter
Marino scored a shorthanded empty-net goal on two shots, blocked four shots and went plus-3 in Friday's 4-1 win over the Canucks.
Marino's second goal of the season helped the Mammoth secure this win. The 28-year-old blueliner has four points and a plus-9 rating over his last six contests. He's at 14 points in 29 appearances, matching his output from 35 games a year ago. Marino has added 29 shots on net, 31 blocked shots and a plus-15 rating in a steady top-four role this year.

Mammoth's Nick Schmaltz: Buries goal in win
Schmaltz scored a goal in Friday's 4-1 win over the Canucks.
Schmaltz ended his 11-game goal drought with the second-period tally, which stood as the game-winner. The 29-year-old has three points over his last two contests and seems to be turning things around after his November slump. For the season, he's up to 11 goals, 25 points, 67 shots on net and an even plus-minus rating across 29 appearances.

Mammoth's Kevin Stenlund: Collects two points in win
Stenlund scored a goal on three shots, dished a shorthanded assist, added four PIM and went plus-2 in Friday's 4-1 win over the Canucks.
This was Stenlund's first multi-point effort this season. He had picked up just one helper over his previous 13 appearances. The 29-year-old center is a fixture in the Mammoth's bottom six, which will limit his scoring production. He's now at six points, 27 shots on net, 22 hits, 20 blocked shots, 16 PIM and a minus-4 rating through 29 contests this season.

Mammoth's Mikhail Sergachev: Goal, assist in win
Sergachev scored a power-play goal, dished an assist, logged two hits, blocked three shots and added two PIM in Friday's 4-1 win over the Canucks.
The goal was Sergachev's first since Nov. 5 in Toronto, and this was his first multi-point effort since he had two assists in Minnesota on Oct. 25. Prior to Friday, Sergachev had logged just two helpers over his previous nine outings. The defenseman is up to four goals, 19 points (eight on the power play), 62 shots on net, 49 blocked shots, 20 PIM and a minus-4 rating through 29 appearances in a top-pairing role.

Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Stays sharp in win
Vejmelka stopped 31 of 32 shots in Friday's 4-1 win over the Canucks.
Vejmelka has allowed just one goal on 59 shots over his last two outings. He lost his bid for a second straight shutout when Arshdeep Bains scored at 4:17 of the third period. Vejmelka is now 12-7-2 with a 2.64 GAA and an .894 save percentage through 22 starts this season. Vitek Vanecek is likely to get the nod for Saturday's road game versus the Flames, but Vejmelka should be between the pipes Monday at home against the Kings.

Mammoth's Cole Beaudoin: Pots pair in OHL win
Beaudoin scored twice in OHL Barrie's 4-1 win over Ottawa on Friday.
Beaudoin is up to 40 points (14 goals, 26 assists) in 23 games. The Mammoth prospect has elevated his play significantly this year and is already halfway to his career-best 28-goal effort from 2023-24. He ranks tied for third among the OHL's top point producers and is nine points clear of Barrie's next-best scorer, Islanders prospect Kashawn Aitcheson.

Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Tending twine in Vancouver
Vejmelka will start in goal on the road in Friday's game versus the Canucks.
Vejmelka will get the nod after posting a 27-save shutout over the high-scoring Ducks on Wednesday. This is the first half of a back-to-back, which makes it likely Vitek Vanecek will get the nod Saturday versus the Flames. Vejmelka faces a Canucks team that has scored 13 goals over the last six games, winning just one of them.

Mammoth's Caleb Desnoyers: Piles up four points
Desnoyers scored twice and added two assists in QMJHL Moncton's 7-4 win over Saint John on Thursday.
Desnoyers earned his first multi-goal game of the season. He's earned four goals and nine assists during a seven-game point streak. On the year, the Mammoth prospect has 17 points, 45 shots on net and a plus-5 rating through 14 appearances after being delayed for his season debut due to a wrist injury.
