Flyers' Jamie Drysdale: Grabs helper Tuesday
Drysdale notched an assist and went plus-3 in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Blue Jackets.
Drysdale has played on the third pairing and second power-play unit since he returned from a 12-game absence due to an upper-body injury. His helper Tuesday was his first point in two contests since his return. Drysdale is at four points, 13 shots on net, 30 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating through 17 outings. He has a bit of scoring upside, but avoiding injuries will be critical for his success -- he's missed significant time in three straight years.

Flyers' Jamie Drysdale: Off injured reserve
Drysdale is no longer listed on injured reserve, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Drysdale had missed the Flyers' last 12 games since suffering an upper-body injury Nov. 9, though it appears the young defenseman is poised to return Sunday against Utah. Drysdale has a goal and three points in 15 games this season.

Flyers' Jamie Drysdale: Considered day-to-day
The Flyers announced Friday that Drysdale (upper body) remains day-to-day while on injured reserve.
Drysdale has been out of action since Nov. 9 versus the Panthers, a stretch of 11 games on the shelf due to his upper-body issue. Prior to getting hurt, the blueliner was mired in an 11-game goal drought in addition to an eight-game pointless streak. While he has reached the 30-point threshold once in his career, that was back in 2021-22 when he was with the Ducks, so fantasy players probably shouldn't be banking on getting a ton of offensive upside from Drysdale.

Drysdale (upper body) skated in a non-contact jersey during Monday's practice, per Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia.
Drysdale will miss his fourth straight game against Colorado on Monday. A timeline for his return remains unclear, but he is progressing slowly. Drysdale has one goal, two assists, 12 shots on net and 28 blocked shots across 15 outings this season. With Drysdale, Cam York (upper body) and Emil Andrae (undisclosed) unavailable, Philadelphia will have Erik Johnson and Helge Grans in the lineup versus the Avalanche.

Flyers' Jamie Drysdale: Surfaces on IR
Drysdale (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Monday, per Jonathan Bailey of Philly Hockey Now.
According to Jackie Spiegel of The Philadelphia Inquirer, Drysdale is dealing with an upper-body injury. The 22-year-old blueliner won't play Monday versus San Jose, and his placement on IR will make him ineligible to return until at least Nov. 18 versus Colorado. Drysdale has one goal, two assists, 12 shots on net and 28 blocked shots through 15 appearances this season. Erik Johnson will replace Drysdale in Monday's lineup.

Flyers' Jamie Drysdale: Won't play Monday
Drysdale won't play in Monday's game against San Jose due to an undisclosed injury, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Drysdale had appeared in each of the Flyers' first 15 games of the regular season, racking up a goal, three points and 28 blocked shots while averaging 20:35 of ice time. However, head coach John Tortorella said Drysdale is "dinged up" ahead of Monday's matchup and will be unavailable for at least one game. It's not yet clear when the 22-year-old blueliner will be able to return, but Erik Johnson will draw into the lineup against the Sharks.

Flyers' Jamie Drysdale: Gathers two helpers
Drysdale notched two power-play assists and three blocked shots in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Capitals.
Drysdale helped out on goals by Travis Konecny and Matvei Michkov. This was Drysdale's first multi-point effort of the campaign, and all three of his points so far have come with the man advantage. The 22-year-old defenseman has added five shots on goal, 14 blocked shots and a minus-10 rating over seven appearances in a top-four role.

Flyers' Jamie Drysdale: Power-play tally in loss
Drysdale scored a power-play goal and went minus-3 in Thursday's 6-4 loss to the Kraken.
The third-period goal was Drysdale's first point in four games this season. He's added eight blocked shots and a minus-6 rating. He's playing on the third pairing at even strength, though he saw a season-high 20:15 of ice time Thursday. He's also been a factor with the man advantage. Things often change quickly in the Flyers' lineup, and given where Drysdale's at now, he has nowhere to go but up, especially if he can build off his goal.

Flyers' Jamie Drysdale: Fully recovered from surgery
Drysdale is fully healthy after undergoing sports hernia surgery during the offseason, Adam Kimelman of NHL.com reports Tuesday.
Drysdale will now have a full season with Philadelphia after being traded from Anaheim during the 2023-24 season. Between both clubs, Drysdale registered 10 points and a minus-20 rating in 34 regular-season contests. The 22-year-old will fill a top-four role and quarterback one of the Flyers' power-play units in 2024-25. Drysdale's career-high in points came in 2021-22 with Anaheim -- he logged 32 points in 81 regular-season outings during that campaign.

Drysdale has resumed skating after undergoing surgery in April, Adam Kimelman of NHL.com reports Wednesday.
Kimelman also reported that Drysdale underwent sports hernia surgery -- the defenseman's procedure had previously been undisclosed. The 22-year-old Toronto native is on track to be ready for training camp, though it will be worth checking in on his status once the Flyers report Sept. 22.

Flyers' Jamie Drysdale: Underwent surgery in April
Drysdale underwent surgery in April to address a significant lower-body injury, Adam Kimelman of NHL.com reports.
The exact nature of Drysdale's injury wasn't revealed, but general manager Daniel Briere suggested it was a lower-body issue. Drysdale is expected to be ready to play by the start of the 2024-24 season, but given the severity of the injury, fantasy managers will want to track his status through training camp.

Flyers' Jamie Drysdale: Suiting up Monday
Drysdale (upper body) will be in the lineup against the Islanders on Monday.
Drysdale has been out of action since Feb. 25 versus the Penguins, a stretch of 16 games on the shelf due to his upper-body injury. With just one point in his 11 games prior to getting hurt, the blueliner probably shouldn't be expected to offer much in the way of fantasy value moving forward. With Drysdale back in action, Adam Ginning figures to be relegated to the press box or even sent back to AHL Lehigh Valley.

Flyers' Jamie Drysdale: Moves to injured reserve
Drysdale (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, per CapFriendly.
Drysdale was already deemed week-to-week, so this move is simply to free up a roster spot for the Flyers. Egor Zamula has the most to gain from Drysdale's absence, as he'll likely absorb Drysdale's power-play ice time while featuring more consistently in the lineup in general.

Drysdale (undisclosed) is week-to-week but could return before the end of the season, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

The 21-year-old injured that same shoulder during the 2022-23 season, limiting him to just eight total games. Drysdale has four points in 17 games since being acquired by the Flyers. In his absence, Egor Zamula should see more consistent playing time.
