Drsydale recorded his fourth multi-point game of the season, and first since Jan. 11, but his efforts weren't enough to lift the Flyers to victory. Drysdale hasn't been able to replicate the 32-point he had in his second year in the league in 2021-22, and given his inconsistencies as a scoring option, it would be a stretch to see him reach the 25-point plateau.

Drysdale's backhand from the slot bounced off Anton Forsberg and in to tie the game 1-1 early in the second period. He has struggled to find his footing this season, like so many of the Flyers. Drysdale has just 16 points (five goals, 11 assists) in 54 games, but he has three goals in his last six outings (nine blocks, six shots).

Drysdale has two goals over five outings in March but does not have an assist in that span. The right-shot defenseman got the Flyers on the board late in the game to cut the score to 2-1, but Dawson Mercer's empty-net goal with the man advantage spoiled Philadelphia's comeback attempt. Drysdale is up to four goals and 11 helpers across 53 appearances this season. The 22-year-old defenseman converted on an assist from Noah Cates at 3:48 of the second period Saturday, tying the game at 1-1. Drysdale is up to three goals, 14 points, 42 shots on net, 68 blocked shots and a minus-18 rating across 49 appearances. He was limited to a total of 10 points over 42 contests over the last two years combined, so this is a little progress. Drysdale is not at risk of losing his place in the lineup currently, but he doesn't need to be rostered in most fantasy formats.

Drysdale is fully healthy after undergoing sports hernia surgery during the offseason, Adam Kimelman of NHL.com reports Tuesday.
Drysdale will now have a full season with Philadelphia after being traded from Anaheim during the 2023-24 season. Between both clubs, Drysdale registered 10 points and a minus-20 rating in 34 regular-season contests. The 22-year-old will fill a top-four role and quarterback one of the Flyers' power-play units in 2024-25. Drysdale's career-high in points came in 2021-22 with Anaheim -- he logged 32 points in 81 regular-season outings during that campaign.

Drysdale has resumed skating after undergoing surgery in April, Adam Kimelman of NHL.com reports Wednesday.
Kimelman also reported that Drysdale underwent sports hernia surgery -- the defenseman's procedure had previously been undisclosed. The 22-year-old Toronto native is on track to be ready for training camp, though it will be worth checking in on his status once the Flyers report Sept. 22.
