Canucks' Filip Hronek: Posts helper in Wednesday's win
Hronek recorded an assist in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Islanders.
Hronek has a goal and five assists over his last nine contests. The 27-year-old defenseman remains steady in a top-four role, and he also continues to see time on the second power-play unit. He's up to 28 points, 69 shots on net, 69 hits, 67 blocked shots, 38 PIM and a plus-1 rating over 51 appearances.

Canucks' Derek Forbort: Scores game-winner against Isles
Forbort scored a goal in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Islanders.
Forbort has a point in each of the last two games, but that uptick in offense shouldn't be expected to last. The 33-year-old defenseman has played in a third-pairing role for the bulk of the season, and he's at nine points, 35 shots on net, 46 hits, 48 PIM and 69 blocked shots through 46 appearances. The game-winner was his first such goal since the 2022-23 campaign.

Canucks' Aatu Raty: Pots goal Wednesday
Raty scored a goal on three shots, added two hits and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Islanders.
The one-time Islanders prospect was able to score against the team that drafted him. Raty is filling in as the fourth-line center while both of Elias Pettersson (undisclosed) and Filip Chytil (concussion) are out. Raty is up to three goals, two assists, 18 shots on net, 57 hits and a minus-1 rating over 23 NHL appearances this season, so he's unlikely to make a significant impact for fantasy.

Canucks' Teddy Blueger: Scores in Wednesday's win
Blueger scored a goal on two shots in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Islanders.
Blueger snapped a nine-game goal drought with his insurance tally in the third period. In that stretch, he had three assists, 11 shots on net and 17 hits. The 30-year-old center is filling in on the second line in the absences of Elias Pettersson (undisclosed) and Filip Chytil (concussion). Blueger has most often been a bottom-six center this year, racking up eight goals, 23 points, 82 shots on net, 97 hits, 41 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating over 72 contests.

Canucks' Pius Suter: Another two-point effort
Suter produced two assists in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Islanders.
Suter helped set up Derek Forbort's game-winner in the final minute of the second period, and a Kiefer Sherwood empty-netter late in the third. Suter has four multi-point performances in the last seven games, collecting four goals and eight points over that stretch, and he should remain a fantasy asset as long as Elias Pettersson (undisclosed) remains unavailable.

Canucks' Drew O'Connor: Two helpers against Isles
O'Connor notched two assists in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Islanders.
Both helpers came in the third period as the Canucks pulled away. It was O'Connor's first multi-point performance since Jan. 9, and in 21 appearances since coming over from the Penguins at the end of January, he's produced four goals and eight points.

Canucks' Kiefer Sherwood: Three-point night Wednesday
Sherwood collected two goals and added an assist in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Islanders.
He opened and closed the scoring for the Canucks, and in between he helped set up a second-period tally by Aatu Raty. Sherwood also chipped in four shots on net, four hits, a blocked shot and a plus-3 rating, and he's become a more well-rounded fantasy asset in March. Over the last 12 games, the 29-year-old winger has four goals and nine points in addition to his usual physical play with 81 hits. Sherwood leads the NHL with 404 hits through 68 appearances, and he's nearly lapping the field -- Luke Schenn is in second place with 270.

Canucks' Thatcher Demko: Picks up second straight win
Demko made 26 saves in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Islanders.
The 29-year-old netminder has started two straight games since returning from a lower-body injury that had sidelined him since the 4 Nations Face-Off, and he's won them both. The Canucks sit three points back of the Blues in the race for the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference, and if Demko is healthy and back in something close to peak form, he should see a heavy workload over the final weeks of the season.

Canucks' Thatcher Demko: Drawing start against Islanders
Demko will defend the road crease against the Islanders on Wednesday, Farhan Lalji of TSN reports.
Demko returned from a 15-game absence Monday against the Devils and picked up the win while turning aside 22 of 25 shots (.880 save percentage). The Islanders are averaging 2.73 goals per game this season, which is the ninth-worst mark in the NHL.

Canucks' Derek Forbort: Picks up assist Monday
Forbort registered an assist and two PIM in Monday's 4-3 shootout win over the Devils.
Forbort ended a seven-game point drought with the helper. The 33-year-old is seeing steady third-pairing minutes at this point in the season, though his playing style isn't conducive to most fantasy formats. He's at eight points, 34 shots on net, 38 PIM, 46 hits, 69 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating over 45 appearances.

Canucks' Jonathan Lekkerimaki: Scores in shootout win
Lekkerimaki scored a goal on two shots in Monday's 4-3 shootout win over the Devils.
Lekkerimaki is set to stick in the lineup for the rest of this road trip, as the Canucks are missing Elias Pettersson (undisclosed), Filip Chytil (concussion) and Nils Hoglander (undisclosed). The 20-year-old Lekkerimaki has two points over his last three contests. He should see top-six usage and some power-play time, but head coach Rick Tocchet is likely to shelter the rookie to some extent. Lekkerimaki is up to five points, 27 shots on net and a minus-6 rating across 19 outings.

Canucks' Conor Garland: Puts away tying goal
Garland scored a goal on two shots in Monday's 4-3 shootout win over the Devils.
This was Garland's first goal in three games since he missed one contest last Tuesday versus the Jets. The 29-year-old winger has maintained a top-six role since returning to action, but the Canucks' offense is likely to take a serious hit with Elias Pettersson (undisclosed), Filip Chytil (concussion) and Nils Hoglander (undisclosed) all out for the remainder of the team's current road trip that runs through the end of March. Garland has put together a decent season with 18 goals, 42 points, 151 shots on net and a minus-8 rating over 70 appearances, but it remains to be seen if he'll be able to pick up the slack.

Canucks' Pius Suter: Two-point effort Monday
Suter produced a goal and an assist in Monday's 4-3 shootout win over the Devils.
The 28-year-old opened the scoring midway through the first period, then set up Conor Garland for the goal that forced OT with just 36 seconds left in the third. Suter centered Vancouver's top line Monday with both Elias Pettersson (undisclosed) and Filip Chytil (concussion) sidelined, but Suter has been making an impact of late even in a lesser role, picking up five goals and seven points over the last seven games.

Canucks' Thatcher Demko: Nabs shootout win in return
Demko stopped 22 shots in regulation and overtime and three of four shootout attempts in Monday's 4-3 win over the Devils.
Seeing his first action since Feb. 8 after recovering from a lower-body injury, Demko secured a crucial win for the Canucks as they push for a wild-card spot. The 29-year-old netminder has had a tough campaign due to injuries, but with Kevin Lankinen struggling in March (4-5-1 with a 2.91 GAA and .873 save percentage), the door is open for Demko to move into a timeshare or even reclaim the starting job if he can stay healthy.

Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Out for remainder of trip
Pettersson (undisclosed) returned to Vancouver and will miss the remainder of the team's road trip this week, Mike Morreale of NHL.com reports Monday.
That timeline rules out Pettersson for at least the next four games, starting with Monday's matchup versus New Jersey. He had three goals and six assists during a six-game point streak before getting hurt in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Rangers. With Pettersson and Nils Hoglander (undisclosed) unavailable, Pius Suter will center the top line, while Aatu Raty and Linus Karlsson will occupy bottom-six roles against the Devils.

Canucks' Nils Hoglander: Won't return during road trip
Hoglander (undisclosed) recently returned to Vancouver and won't rejoin the Canucks for the remainder of their road trip, Mike Morreale of NHL.com reports Monday.
Hoglander exited Saturday's game against the Rangers due to an injury and didn't participate in Sunday's practice session. It's not yet clear what injury he's dealing with, but the ailment will apparently keep him out for at least four contests. Jake DeBrusk will likely remain on the top line Monday against New Jersey, while Hoglander's next chance to return will be April 2 against Seattle.
