Islanders' Liam Foudy: Finds work with Isles
Foudy signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Islanders on Wednesday, per PuckPedia.
Foudy is a veteran of 102 NHL games over the last five seasons, but he has just seven goals and 15 assists to his name. He split time between the Blue Jackets and Predators last season. Foudy offers modest physicality that will likely help his cause, but he's not a lock to make the Islanders' Opening Night roster.

Liam Foudy: Not qualified
Foudy didn't receive a qualifying offer ahead of Sunday's deadline and will now be an unrestricted free agent, Alex Daugherty of The Tennessean reports.
Foudy logged a mere 13 NHL games between Columbus and Nashville this past season, generating three assists, eight hits and seven shots on goal over 13 regular-season games. The 24-year-old center has just one decent season under his belt, having tallied seven goals and seven assists in 62 games for the Blue Jackets back in 2022-23.

Predators' Liam Foudy: Placed on waivers
The Predators placed Foudy on waivers Thursday, according to Nick Kieser of Nashville Hockey Now.
This is the second time this season that Foudy has been placed on waivers as he was claimed by Nashville from Columbus on Oct. 20. Foudy has managed only three assists in 12 games with the Predators, averaging 10:09 of ice time per contest. He was a healthy scratch in five of the last six games with the big club. Should he pass through waivers, Foudy will be sent to AHL Milwaukee.

Predators' Liam Foudy: Rare helper Saturday
Foudy registered his third point of the season with an assist in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Rangers.
Foudy has been in and out of the Preds' lineup as a healthy scratch this season, so he doesn't warrant much fantasy attention at the current time. When he does play, he typically skates on the fourth line, where he averages roughly 10 minutes of ice time. Foudy had a career-high 14 points with the Blue Jackets last season, but that also came with a minus-26 rating.

Predators' Liam Foudy: Picks up first point with new team
Foudy logged an assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Canucks.
Foudy helped out on a Colton Sissons tally in the first period. The helper was Foudy's first point with Nashville and his first point in three outings this season. The 23-year-old winger was scratched for his first two games with the Predators, but he's been in the lineup over the last two contests, albeit in a fairly limited bottom-six role. His lack of NHL success makes him a player that fantasy managers don't need to track closely at this stage of the campaign.

Predators' Liam Foudy: Claimed by Nashville
The Predators claimed Foudy off waivers from Columbus on Saturday, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Foudy was designated for the minors via waivers by the Blue Jackets on Friday, but there was little chance he would pass through waivers unclaimed, and it was the Predators who picked him up. The 18th overall selection in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft will get a fresh start with Nashville. Foudy had seven goals and 14 points in 62 games with the Blue Jackets last season.

Blue Jackets' Liam Foudy: Hits waiver wire
The Blue Jackets designated Foudy as a non-roster player and placed him on waivers Friday. He will be assigned to AHL Cleveland if he goes unclaimed, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.
Foudy has been a healthy scratch in two of three games this season. In his lone appearance against the Rangers on Saturday, he logged just 7:56 of ice time. Although he appeared in 62 games with Columbus last year, it looks like his time in the NHL will likely be limited in 2023-24.

Blue Jackets' Liam Foudy: Opens scoring Tuesday
Foudy scored a goal on four shots in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Flyers in overtime.
Foudy started the scoring midway through the first period, charging into the slot to put a rebound past Carter Hart. It's Foudy's first goal since March 24 and his fourth point in 10 games. The 23-year-old winger has seven goals and 14 points in 60 games this season while playing a middle-six role in Columbus.

Blue Jackets' Liam Foudy: Tickles twine again Friday
Foudy scored his sixth goal of the season in Friday's 5-4 overtime win over the Islanders.
The Blue Jackets' rapidly thinning forward ranks have pushed Foudy up into a top-six role, but the 2018 first-round pick has also earned the assignment with his recent play as he has four goals and six points over the last eight games. Columbus has nothing to play for but the future, and a strong finish to the campaign could put the 23-year-old back in the organization's plans after it seemed like he was on the way out the door. Even so, Foudy still has just 11 points in 51 games on the season with a minus-19 rating, and his fantasy appeal will be limited to very deep leagues despite his heater.

Blue Jackets' Liam Foudy: Lights lamp in third period
Foudy scored a goal on three shots and went minus-2 in Tuesday's 6-5 overtime win over the Sharks.
Foudy's four goals this season have all come in the last 11 contests, and he's added an assist in that span. The 23-year-old put the Blue Jackets ahead 5-3 in the third period, but they'd need overtime to get the win. Foudy is up to eight points, 44 shots on net, 47 hits and a minus-16 rating through 46 outings overall.

Blue Jackets' Liam Foudy: Two-point effort Tuesday
Foudy scored a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Penguins.
His only other career multi-point performance came back on Oct. 23. Foudy only scored his first career NHL goal Feb. 18, but he's added two more in the eight games since as the 2018 first-round pick begins to show a glimmer of consistency for the first time. The 23-year-old still doesn't seem likely to escape a bottom-six assignment any time soon, however.

Blue Jackets' Liam Foudy: First regular-season NHL goal
Foudy scored a goal in a 4-1 win over Dallas on Saturday.
He banged in the puck after Scott Wedgewood poke-checked a driving Jack Roslovic late in the first period. It was Foudy's first regular-season goal in 63 NHL games. He scored his first career goal against the Maple Leafs on Aug. 9, 2020, during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Foudy was drafted in the first round (18th) of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.

Blue Jackets' Liam Foudy: Point drought continues
Foudy hasn't recorded a point in 16 straight NHL games, including Tuesday's 4-0 loss to the Senators.
The 22-year-old has spotted in and out of the Columbus lineup this season but hasn't escaped a bottom-six role, and over a point drought that extends back to early November, Foudy has a minus-11 rating along with four PIM, seven blocked shots, 10 shots on net and 22 hits. The 18th overall pick in the 2018 NHL Draft may need a change of scenery to get a chance to really establish himself as a regular contributor at the NHL level.

Blue Jackets' Liam Foudy: Healthy scratch again Friday
Foudy wasn't in the lineup for Friday's loss to the Islanders.
Despite the Blue Jackets' extensive injury list, Foudy has still been a healthy scratch for two of the last three games. The 22-year-old has failed to score a point in seven straight games with a minus-5 rating when he has suited up, so Foudy slipping down the depth chart isn't a big surprise.

Blue Jackets' Liam Foudy: Maintaining steady pace
Foudy earned an assist in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Avalanche.
Foudy has three assists through four games this season, making him a sneaky source of production. Granted, it's a very small sample size and he's on the fourth line, but don't forget that Foudy was the 18th overall pick from the 2018 draft. The 22-year-old could carve out a larger role as the season progresses.

Blue Jackets' Liam Foudy: Dealing with shoulder issue
Foudy has been hampered by a shoulder issue but was able to get onto the ice Tuesday, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports.
Foudy's attendance at Tuesday's practice is certainly a good indication he won't miss any time. The 22-year-old center will need all the minutes he can get if he is going to secure a place on the Opening Night roster. Even if Foudy does make the team for Opening Night, he almost certainly will still see some time in the minors this year.

Blue Jackets' Liam Foudy: Signs two-year extension
Foudy signed a two-year contract extension with the Blue Jackets on Friday. The first year of the extension is a two-way deal, whereas the second year of the extension is a one-way deal.
Foudy spent the majority of the 2021-22 campaign in the minors, picking up seven goals and 19 points through 29 appearances with AHL Cleveland. The 2018 first-round pick will likely spend most of the 2022-23 season in the minors, but he could have a larger role with the big club in 2023-24.
