Jets' Leki Fotu: Has practice window opened
The Jets opened Fotu's (hamstring) practice window Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Fotu began the campaign on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury that he suffered during the preseason. The defensive tackle has since improved and was able to log a full practice session Wednesday. New York has 21 days to add Fotu to its active roster, at which point the 26-year-old will be eligible to return to game action.

The Jets placed Fotu (hamstring) on injured reserve, designated to retun Tuesday, Ethan Greenberg of the team's official site reports.
Fotu played in New York's first preseason contest but subsequently injured his hamstring. There was initially optimism that he'd be ready to return by the start of the regular season, but his placement on IR means the 26-year-old will be forced to miss at least New York's first four games of the campaign. Fotu is likely to play a rotational role on the Jets' defensive line upon his return.

Jets' Leki Fotu: Sidelined by hamstring issue
Fotu will miss the remainder of training camp due to a hamstring injury, but he's expected to be ready to play in Week 1 of the regular season, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Fotu tallied 22 defensive and five special-teams snaps in New York's first preseason game Aug. 10 versus the Commanders, but he missed the Jets' second exhibition contest Saturday and won't suit up in the team's preseason finale. The fifth-year pro is slated to play a rotational role along New York's defensive line while also contributing on special teams after signing with the team in March following four seasons with Arizona.

Jets' Leki Fotu: Headed to Big Apple
Fotu is slated to sign a contract with the Jets, Billy Riccette of USA Today reports.
Fotu spent the first four seasons of his career with the Cardinals after they selected him in the fourth round of the 2020 Draft. The Utah product appeared in 11 games last season, missing time with a hand injury, but he still managed to record a career-high 2.5 sacks among 28 combined tackles. He'll help bolster the Jets' defensive-line depth in 2024.

Fotu had his 21-day window to return from injured reserve opened Wednesday, but he won't rejoin the active roster at his first opportunity. The defensive tackle will have one more opportunity to play in 2023 when the Cardinals host the Seahawks in their Week 18 season finale.

The transaction starts the clock on a 21-day period during which Arizona can officially activate Fotu before it would have to shut him down for the rest of the season. The Cardinals' injury reports over the week will give an idea of whether he might be available for Week 17.

Fotu missed the remainder of the loss to Houston following the injury, but there's a chance he requires surgery and is able to play through it with a brace or club on his hand. The fourth-year lineman has 25 tackles (15 solo), including five TFLs and a career-best 2.5 sacks, through 10 games.
