Colts' Joe Flacco: Primed for start
Flacco appears to be in position to start Sunday's game against the Jaguars after the Colts announced Anthony Richardson (oblique) is now listed as doubtful for the matchup.
It speaks volumes to Richardson's struggles this year that Flacco was able to immediately jumpstart the passing attack, specifically for Michael Pittman, after seeing it struggle significantly through the previous three weeks. That the veteran's success came at the expense of what had been one of the league's best defenses in Pittsburgh is all the more surprising. There's expected to be another storm cell hitting the state of Florida in the coming days, but provided the weather is able to hold off Sunday, Flacco appears poised to have another excellent fantasy outing against a Jaguars defense that's allowed the third-most passing yards in 2024.

Colts' Ryan Kelly: Downgraded to doubtful for Week 5
Kelly (neck) is now listed as doubtful ahead of Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
Despite missing all three practices this week, Kelly was initially listed as questionable for Sunday's divisional matchup. However, it appears that the veteran center will be held out for a second-straight week due to a neck injury. If Kelly is inactive, Tanor Bortolini would be the starting center for the Colts.

Colts' Samuel Womack: Added to injury report
Womack (illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
Womack was added to the Colts' injury report Saturday and appears to be under the weather ahead of Sunday's divisional matchup. If Womack cannot play, Dallis Flowers would be slated to start at corner opposite Jaylon Jones while David Long -- who was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday -- would provide depth in the secondary.

Colts' Anthony Richardson: Downgraded to doubtful
Richardson (oblique) was downgraded to doubtful for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
Richardson was listed as a limited participant in practice all week, but that appeared to be a bit of gamesmanship by the Colts given the second-year quarterback ceded the majority of the first-team reps to Joe Flacco throughout practice. The longtime veteran immediately turned around a flailing passing attack Week 4 against the Steelers, and should the weather conditions remain neutral, Flacco could be poised for an excellent fantasy day against the Jaguars in the anticipated absence of Richardson.

Colts' Evan Hull: Elevated to active roster
Hull was elevated from the practice squad Saturday.
The assumption is that Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson will operate in a platoon to replace the injured Jonathan Taylor (ankle), but it was Hull, a 2023 fifth-round pick that actually opened as the starting running back in 2023 with Taylor sidelined, only to suffer what became a season-ending knee injury a few plays into his rookie campaign. Hull then put together a solid preseason, but still ultimately was waived in favor of Sermon and Goodson. Fantasy managers should take the Colts at their word when it comes to the running back depth chart, but it wouldn't be surprising to see the second-year pro emerge as an option given Hull's success in a relatively difficult Northwestern offense (1,922 rushing yards across 417 carries in his final two collegiate years).

Colts' Ryan Kelly: Could return Sunday
Kelly (neck) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Jaguars, JJ Stankevitz of the Colts' official site reports.
Kelly missed the Colts' Week 4 win over the Steelers and didn't practice this week due to a neck injury. However, it appears the 31-year-old offensive lineman will attempt to play through the issue Sunday. If Kelly isn't able to suit up in Week 5, expect rookie Tanor Bortolini to serve as the Colts' top center.

Colts' Anthony Richardson: Questionable for Sunday
Richardson (oblique) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars after practicing in a limited capacity this week, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Richardson logged just 13 snaps in the Colts' Week 4 win over the Steelers before his first-quarter exit from the contest. He was replaced by veteran QB Joe Flacco, who Boyd notes took the majority of the team's first-team reps in practice this week. With that in mind, it remains to be seen if Richardson will be available to start this weekend. Look for added context on that topic to arrive late Saturday or early Sunday from national reporters such as ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Colts' Kenny Moore: Missing Week 5
Moore (hip) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Jaguars, JJ Stankevitz of the Colts' official site reports.
Moore was held out of practice both Wednesday and Thursday after missing the Colts' Week 4 win over the Steelers due to a hip injury, so it's no surprise that he won't suit up in Week 5. Expect Chris Lammons to see increased work with Indianapolis' first-team defense while Moore continues to recover.

Colts' Kwity Paye: Won't play Sunday
Paye (quadriceps) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Jaguars, JJ Stankevitz of the Colts' official site reports.
Paye was unable to practice both Wednesday and Thursday after missing Indianapolis' Week 4 win over the Steelers due to a quadriceps injury, so it's no surprise that he won't suit up for Sunday's contest. Expect 2024 first-round pick Laiatu Latu to see additional snaps with the Colts' first-team defense in Paye's stead.

Colts' Trey Sermon: Stage set to start Week 5
Sermon appears primed to start Sunday's divisional matchup against the Jaguars with Colts head coach Shane Steichen having announced Friday that Jonathan Taylor (ankle) is ruled out for Week 5, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
Sermon, who rushed five times for eight yards during Indianapolis' win over the Steelers in Week 4, looks positioned for a significant workload as the Colts' top backfield option heading into a road matchup against Jacksonville. Tyler Goodson also will be a candidate to mix in, but he's handled only one touch (a two-yard catch against Green Bay in Week 2) in three appearances this season. Sermon, meanwhile, boasts the stature and skill set of a three-down back, and Indianapolis deployed him to the tune of 17 carries for 88 yards Week 15 of last season with Taylor sidelined.

Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Ruled out for Week 5
Colts head coach Shane Steichen said Friday that Taylor (ankle) is ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the Jaguars, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
Taylor will miss at least one contest due to the right ankle sprain he sustained during Indianapolis' win over the Steelers in Week 4. The star running back didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, and he wasn't spotted at the portion of Friday's practice open to the media. Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson will be positioned to lead the Colts backfield until Taylor is healthy, with his next opportunity to retake the field coming Week 6 on the road against Tennessee.

Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Not seen as practice opens
Taylor (ankle) wasn't spotted during the initial portion of Friday's practice, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Taylor, who is dealing with an ankle sprain, didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, so his apparent absence early on Friday clouds his status for Sunday's game against the Jaguars. The Colts' upcoming injury report is slated to confirm both Taylor's official participation level Friday as well as his Week 5 game status.
