Mrazek allowed four goals on 27 shots in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Red Wings. The fifth goal was an empty-netter.
Mrazek quieted the Avalanche on Wednesday, but he couldn't construct a repeat performance against an ascendant Red Wings team. He's now allowed at least four goals in five of his last seven appearances, losing all five of those instances. Mrazek is down to 8-15-1 with a 3.17 GAA and an .895 save percentage through 25 games. Arvid Soderblom is likely to get the starting nod Saturday at home against the Oilers.

Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Between pipes Friday
Mrazek will defend the visiting goal in Detroit on Friday, per Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times.
Mrazek was stellar Wednesday, stopping 35 shots in a 3-1 win over Colorado, halting a personal six-game losing streak. Mrazek is 8-14-1 for the lowly Blackhawks, with a 3.13 GAA and a .897 save percentage across 24 appearances this season. The Red Wings are averaging 2.73 goals in 2024-25.

Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Finally back in win column
Mrazek made 35 saves in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Avalanche.
Juuso Parssinen opened the scoring for Colorado early in the first period with an end-to-end rush that he finished by slipping a backhander past Mrazek inside the near post, but the veteran goalie slammed the door shut the rest of the way. It was Mrazek's first win since Nov. 27, ending a skid that had seen him go 0-6-0 over his prior seven appearances with a brutal 4.97 GAA and .834 save percentage while also missing time due to a groin strain. While victories will be hard to come by with Chicago, a healthy Mrazek is at least capable of posting better ratios.

Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Set to face Colorado
Mrazek is expected to start in Wednesday's home tilt against Colorado, per Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN Radio.
Mrazek is 0-6-0 with a 4.97 GAA and an .834 save percentage across his past seven appearances. He hasn't featured in the win column since Nov. 27. It will be difficult for Mrazek to end that slump against the Avalanche, who rank fifth in goals per game with 3.39.

Mrazek made 22 saves in a 6-2 loss to the Blues in Tuesday's Winter Classic outdoor game.
Mrazek missed a couple weeks to injury prior to the holiday break, but a return to good health hasn't changed his fate. He hasn't won since Nov. 27 (0-6-0 in seven starts), and he's allowed 27 goals in that span. Mrazek has been excellent at times this season, but he needs to be that every game to help his mates win.

Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Drawing start in Winter Classic
Mrazek will be between the pipes Tuesday at home in the Winter Classic against the Blues, according to Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN Radio.
Mrazek will make his 23rd start of the campaign in the Winter Classic at Wrigley Field. The 32-year-old is sporting an 0-4-0 record, .830 save percentage and 5.21 GAA through five appearances in December, and he hasn't registered a win since Nov. 27. Mrazek will have a chance to get on the right track against a St. Louis team that has put up 2.61 goals per game through 38 contests, which ranks 28th in the NHL.

Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Pulled Friday in rout
Mrazek was pulled from Friday's 6-2 loss to the Sabres at the end of the first period after stopping seven of 11 shots.
Mrazek allowed four goals in the first period before Arvid Soderblom, who finished with 22 saves, replaced him to start the second. This one looked like a promising matchup for Mrazek and the Blackhawks, but the team looked overmatched on both ends of the ice. Mrazek's struggles continue, as he's gone winless in his last six appearances, going 0-5-0 with an inflated 4.74 GAA and a woeful .844 save percentage in that stretch.

In his first start back from a groin injury that cost him a couple weeks of action, Mrazek looked a bit rusty as Chicago fell behind 5-1 through two periods. The veteran netminder did keep Calgary off the scoreboard as his team tried to mount a comeback, however. Mrazek went the entire month of November without giving up more than three goals in an outing, but his luck evaporated once the calendar flipped to December -- over four appearances this month, he's surrendered 14 goals on 95 shots for an .853 save percentage.

It's a bit of a vague update on Mrazek, but it's still better than nothing for fantasy players.
