Top Ryan Hartman News

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Deals another helper

Hartman notched a power-play assist and four blocked shots in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Golden Knights in Game 3.

Hartman set up the second of Kirill Kaprizov's two goals in the game. The 30-year-old Hartman has opened the playoffs with a helper in three straight games while primarily playing in a middle-six role. He's added seven shots on net, four hits, seven blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating. As long as Hartman's play is steady, Marco Rossi will likely remain on the fourth line.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Assists in consecutive contests

Hartman logged an assist, three shots on goal, two hits and two blocked shots in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Golden Knights in Game 2.

Hartman has a helper in each of the first two playoff games, and he's earned four assists over his last seven contests. He was on the fourth line in Game 1, but he moved up to the third line and saw 17:20 of ice time in Game 2, so he's clearly got the trust of head coach John Hynes. Hartman should continue to be a versatile forward, and if his level of play is steady, he'll get more looks on offense.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Plucks apple in Game 1 loss

Hartman notched an assist, three shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Golden Knights in Game 1.

Hartman took a bit of a beating in this contest, getting leveled on a collision in the first period before he was cut after a scuffle with Nicolas Hague in the third. The 30-year-old Hartman was able to finish the contest, which is a credit to the toughness he brings to the Wild's lineup. He had 26 points, 158 shots on net, 75 PIM, 73 hits and a minus-7 rating over 69 regular-season contests. He was listed on the fourth line to begin the playoffs, but he'll often take extra shifts with other forwards to help keep a decent share of ice time.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Notches helper in overtime win

Hartman recorded an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Canucks.

Hartman set up a Marcus Foligno tally to tie the game at 2-2 in the third period. With the recent returns of Kirill Kaprizov and Joel Eriksson Ek from lower-body injuries, Hartman has gotten shuffled down to the fourth line, which could make it tough for him to be a factor on offense. Hartman is at 26 points, 156 shots on net, 72 hits, 75 PIM and a minus-6 rating over 68 appearances this season, which is his worst output in four years, though his 7.1 shooting percentage explains most of his struggles.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Pots goal in loss

Hartman scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Devils.

Hartman snapped a four-game point drought with the third-period tally, though it had little impact on the end result. The 30-year-old forward continues to fill a third-line role, though he occasionally moves up the lineup when the forward trios are shuffled. Hartman is at 11 goals, 24 points, 142 shots on net, 68 hits, 69 PIM and a minus-8 rating through 61 appearances this season.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Opens scoring in Wednesday's win

Hartman scored a goal on four shots and added two PIM in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Kraken.

Hartman helped the Wild to a quick start with his goal at 2:47 of the first period. Within two more minutes, they were up 3-0, and they never looked back. The 30-year-old forward has been dialed in with three goals and three assists over his last eight contests. Hartman is up to 10 goals, 23 points, 131 shots on net, 61 hits, 67 PIM and a minus-8 rating over 56 appearances. He may be called on for top-six minutes if Marco Rossi (lower body) can't play Saturday versus the Sabres.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Scores, assists Monday

Hartman scored a power-play goal and delivered a power-play assist in Monday's 3-1 win over the Kings.

Hartman has notched five points over his seven outings since returning from a multi-week absence between Feb. 4 and March 2 due to a suspension. The center has only 22 points (nine goals, 13 helpers) across 55 games, so by all accounts, this has been a down season for the 30-year-old veteran.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Collects power-play helper

Hartman notched a power-play assist, four shots on goal and two hits in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Rangers.

Hartman has three points (two on the power play) over five contests since returning from an eight-game suspension. The 30-year-old set up Frederick Gaudreau for the game-tying goal at 8:42 of the third period. Hartman now has 20 points (five on the power play), 121 shots on net, 59 hits, 65 PIM and a minus-9 rating over 53 outings this season. He's moved around the lineup a bit, but he's a key part of the Wild's depth scoring, giving him modest fantasy appeal in deeper formats.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Lights lamp Sunday

Hartman tallied a power-play goal and took four shots on net in Sunday's 3-1 loss to Pittsburgh.

Hartman helped Minnesota dodge a shutout by converting on a power play late in the third period. The 30-year-old forward has eight goals, 19 points and 116 shots on goal in 51 appearances this season. Since his return from an eight-game suspension, Hartman has two points over three outings in his middle-six role. He has limited value in fantasy skating on Minnesota's third line, but his recent offensive production is an encouraging sign for Hartman to get more involved down the stretch.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Posts helper in return

Hartman notched an assist and four shots on goal in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Kraken.

Hartman returned from an eight-game suspension, which was lowered from 10 games after he appealed to commissioner Gary Bettman. He centered the third line in his first game action since Feb. 1, and he's likely to be a middle-six forward down the stretch. The 30-year-old is at 18 points, 111 shots on net, 53 hits, 30 blocked shots, 60 PIM and a minus-7 rating over 49 appearances. Hartman will have to be careful to avoid crossing the line again -- he has a lengthy history with the Department of Player Safety after serving his fifth career suspension, four of which have come within the last two years.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Eligible to return

Hartman has served his eight-game suspension and will be available against the Kraken on Tuesday.

Hartman was originally given a 10-game ban, but with the reduction of his suspension to eight games upon appeal, he will now be eligible to face Seattle. With the veteran winger back in the lineup, he should slot into a top-six role and will likely be eager to bring an eight-game goal drought to an end.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Suspension reduced

Hartman's suspension was dropped to eight games from 10, the NHL announced Monday.

Hartman has already served four games of his initial 10-game suspension and will now be eligible to return against Seattle on March 4. Prior to his ban, the 30-year-old winger was bogged down in an eight-game goal drought, during which he registered 14 shots and three assists. Once eligible to play, Hartman could slot into a first-line role with Matt Boldy and Mats Zuccarello -- though Marco Rossi has been thriving in that spot since Hartman has been unavailable.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Officially appealing suspension

Hartman will appeal his 10-game suspension to commissioner Gary Bettman, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

This is the first step of the appeal process. If Bettman upholds a suspension length of six or more games, Hartman can then make a second appeal to an independent arbitrator. Pending any changes resulting from his appeal, Hartman is expected to be out of the Wild's lineup until March 9 versus the Penguins.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Suspended 10 games

Hartman received a 10-game suspension by the NHL Department of Player Safety on Monday for roughing Ottawa's Tim Stutzle on Saturday.

Hartman is a repeat offender -- this is his fifth career suspension and fourth since April of 2023. The 30-year-old won't be eligible to return until March. 9 against Pittsburgh. Per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, Hartman has 48 hours to decide if he wants to make an appeal. While Hartman is unavailable, Ben Jones could draw back into the lineup, but Minnesota will probably bring up a forward from AHL Iowa for extra depth.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Offered in-person hearing

The NHL Department of Player Safety offered Hartman an in-person hearing Sunday for roughing Ottawa's Tim Stutzle on Saturday.

Hartman received a match penalty at the end of the second period for driving Stutzle's head into the ice. The 30-year-old Hartman could be facing a suspension of more than five games. He has seven goals, 17 points, 108 shots on net, 30 blocked shots, 53 hits and 60 PIM through 48 appearances this season. Ben Jones could replace Hartman in Tuesday's lineup versus Boston.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Likely facing discipline

Hartman received a match penalty in Saturday's 6-0 loss to the Senators.

Hartman's match penalty was for intent to injure after he checked Tim Stutzle's head into the ice at the end of the second period. All match penalties come with an automatic league review for discipline, and Hartman won't get the benefit of the doubt -- he's been suspended four times before, the most recent being April 1, 2024, so he would be classified as a repeat offender if additional discipline is assessed. Ben Jones will likely enter the lineup if Hartman is made unavailable.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Plucks apple in loss

Hartman logged an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Flames.

Hartman has put together a decent January with three goals, five assists and 18 shots on net over 11 contests. The 30-year-old had not earned more than five points in any other month of the season. He's at 16 points, 99 shots on net, 49 hits, 39 PIM, 28 blocked shots and a minus-8 rating through 44 outings overall. Hartman continues to play on the third line and second power-play unit.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Tallies again Wednesday

Hartman scored a goal on three shots and added two PIM in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Oilers.

Hartman has scored in back-to-back contests and has three goals and four assists over his last eight outings. The 30-year-old forward scored straight from a faceoff in the second period of this game. He's up to seven goals, 14 points, 94 shots on net, 46 hits, 27 blocked shots, 32 PIM and a minus-6 rating over 40 appearances this season. Hartman will continue to carry some fantasy value in deeper formats while in a top-six role, but that could change once the Wild's forward group is closer to full health.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Nets lone goal in loss

Hartman scored a goal on four shots in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Golden Knights.

Hartman tallied at 12:09 of the first period, but that goal was all the Wild could put past Adin Hill. The 30-year-old Hartman has earned two goals and four assists over his last seven contests. He's playing on the second line, and now that he has a little momentum, he could work his way back into consideration for fantasy. The winger is at six goals, seven assists, 91 shots on net, 45 hits, 30 PIM and a minus-6 rating over 39 appearances, though he's had some time in the bottom six this season as well.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Adds two assists in win

Hartman notched two assists and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Blues.

Hartman is rounding into form with five points over his last four outings following a brutal 18-game slump. The 30-year-old has benefited from top-six minutes in that span, though it's unclear if Hartman will continue in that role once Kirill Kaprizov (lower body) returns. Hartman has five goals, seven assists, 84 shots on net, 43 hits, 30 PIM, 22 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over 36 appearances. If he can sustain his offense, he offers well-rounded production for fantasy managers.
