Buchnevich registered a power-play assist in Monday's 5-4 shootout win over the Golden Knights. Buchnevich snapped a four-game point drought with the helper. That slump has seen him at least temporarily booted from the top line -- he's been on the third line over the last couple of contests. The 29-year-old has 30 points, 86 shots on net, 31 hits and a plus-1 rating over 46 appearances. Buchnevich hasn't played up to his full potential this year, but a 60-point campaign is still possible if he goes on an extended hot streak.... See More ... See Less

Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Goal, assist in win
Buchnevich scored a goal and added an assist in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Ducks. Buchnevich was limited to 13:55 of ice time as head coach Jim Montgomery opted to rest some of his forwards later in the game. The 29-year-old winger did his damage in the second period, setting up a Robert Thomas tally prior to scoring one of his own. With two goals and four assists during a five-game point streak, Buchnevich is on a roll. He's now at 11 goals, 29 points, 77 shots on net, 29 hits and a plus-5 rating through 41 outings overall.... Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Keeps streak alive
Buchnevich scored a goal, took two shots and recorded three hits in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Wild. Buchnevich continues to find ways to produce and cracked the scoresheet for the fourth game in a row, a span in which he's racked up one goal and three assists. He hasn't been much of a scoring weapon, though, as this was the first time he found the twine since a Dec. 19 loss to Tampa Bay. The 29-year-old has 10 goals and 27 points in 40 games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Adds helper in win
Buchnevich notched an assist and went plus-2 in Friday's 4-0 win over the Senators. Buchnevich's goal drought is up to six games, but he has three assists in that span. The 29-year-old set up a Brandon Saad goal in the second period, which stretched the Blues' lead to 3-0. Buchnevich's top-six role is secure, and he's been decent by getting on the scoresheet in 10 of the last 14 contests. For the season, the forward has 25 points, 73 shots on net, 25 hits and a plus-7 rating through 38 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Lends power-play assist
Buchnevich notched a power-play assist and two PIM in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Blackhawks in the Winter Classic. Buchnevich concluded December with nine points in 13 contests, with two of them being power-play assists. The 29-year-old forward has maintained a top-six role and also had a plus-9 rating for the month. He's not standing out, but he's not hurting a fantasy team either. For the season, Buchnevich has nine goals, 15 helpers, six power-play points, 72 shots on net, 25 hits and a plus-5 rating through 37 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Nets lone goal in loss
Buchnevich scored a goal on four shots in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Lightning. Buchnevich has a goal in two of the last three games, and he's put up three tallies and four assists over his last eight contests. That's consistency that was missing from his play early on in the campaign. The 29-year-old has nine goals, 22 points, 66 shots on net, 25 hits and a plus-2 rating through 32 appearances.... Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Buries goal Sunday
Buchnevich scored a goal on three shots, added three hits and went plus-2 in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Rangers. Buchnevich opened the scoring in the first period against his former team. He's gotten on the scoresheet in each of his last nine games, putting up three goals and six assists in that span, though he also missed two contests due to a lower-body injury. Buchnevich is clicking in a top-six role, and he's up to eight goals, 21 points, 61 shots on net, 24 hits and a plus-1 rating through 30 appearances this season.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Draws shorthanded assist
Buchnevich notched a shorthanded assist, three shots on goal and two hits in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Canucks. Buchnevich got on the scoresheet for his sixth consecutive game. He's gotten it done in all situations in that span -- he has two goals and four assists, with two of the helpers coming on the power play as well as the shorthanded apple he put up Tuesday. The 29-year-old winger is at 18 points, 54 shots on net, 19 hits and a minus-3 rating through 27 contests overall. He continues to be a top-six fixture for the Blues, and he's getting back on track after an uneven start to 2024-25.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Records power-play helper Saturday
Buchnevich notched a power-play assist, four shots on goal and two hits in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Oilers. Buchnevich has gotten on the scoresheet in his last five outings, though he missed two games in the middle due to a lower-body injury. He has two goals and three assists in that span. After struggling at center, the 29-year-old has looked more comfortable as a winger. He has 17 points, 51 shots on net and a minus-4 rating over 26 appearances in a top-six role this season.... Buchnevich scored a goal on four shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Flames. Buchnevich logged 20:22 of ice time in his return from a lower-body injury. He picked up where he left off -- the 29-year-old has two goals and two assists over his last four contests. While he hasn't recorded a multi-point effort since Nov. 7, Buchnevich remains steady in a top-six role. He's at 16 points, 47 shots on net and a minus-3 rating over 25 outings this season.... Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Good to go Thursday
Buchnevich (lower body) will draw into the lineup Thursday versus Calgary, per Matthew DeFranks of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Buchnevich missed two games due to the injury. He has six goals and 15 points across 24 outings in 2024-25. He's expected to serve on the top line alongside Robert Thomas and Jake Neighbours. Brandon Saad is projected to shift from the first to the third line, and Mathieu Joseph is set to be a healthy scratch after dressing in St. Louis' previous two games.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Set to remain out Tuesday
Buchnevich (lower body) is not expected back in the lineup versus the Jets on Tuesday, per Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic, but he could be an option versus Calgary on Thursday. Buchnevich will miss his second straight game due to his lower-body injury but appears to be trending in the right direction. Prior to getting hurt, Buchnevich was producing offensively with two goals and six helpers, including three with the man advantage, in his last 11 outings.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Not available Saturday
Buchnevich (lower body) won't play versus Philadelphia on Saturday, according to Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic. Buchnevich was injured in the second stanza Wednesday against the Devils and did not return. Alexandre Texier will replace Buchnevich on the top line, alongside Robert Thomas and Jake Neighbours. Buchnevich has six goals and nine assists in 24 games this season, including a goal and three helpers on the power play.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Suffers lower-body injury
Buchnevich won't return to Wednesday's game versus the Devils due to a lower-body injury. Buchnevich suffered the injury in the second period and was quickly ruled out during the subsequent intermission. The 29-year-old should be considered day-to-day ahead of Saturday's game versus the Flyers. If he can't play, Mathieu Joseph or Alexandre Texier could replace him in the lineup.... See More ... Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Puts away empty-netter
Buchnevich scored an empty-net goal on four shots and added four hits in Monday's 5-2 win over the Rangers. The former Ranger finished off the Blues' win against his old team. Buchnevich has done alright in November with three goals and eight points over 12 appearances this month. The 29-year-old is up to 14 points, 43 shots on net, 15 hits and a minus-5 rating over 23 contests. His role is unlikely to change much following the Blues' hiring of Jim Montgomery to replace Drew Bannister as head coach -- look for Buchnevich to remain in a top-six role with power-play time.... Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Offers power-play assist
Buchnevich notched a power-play assist in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Islanders. The helper was Buchnevich's second over the last five games. He's been decent in November with two goals and five assists through 11 appearances, but the fact that he's in a top-line role while carrying an $8 million cap hit suggests that he should be capable of more. For the season, the 29-year-old has five goals, eight assists, four power-play points, 39 shots on net and a minus-6 rating over 22 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Finds back of net Thursday
Buchnevich netted his fifth goal of the season Thursday in a 4-3 overtime loss to Buffalo. Buchnevich tied the score at 2-2 in the middle frame after being assisted by Jordan Kyrou. Buchnevich has been inconsistent during the early portion of the campaign -- Thursday marked only the second time this season that the Russian forward has produced points in back-to-back games. Overall, the 29-year-old has banked five goals, six assists and a minus-2 rating over 17 appearances while filling a top-line role and spot on the No. 1 power-play unit.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Two apples in loss
Buchnevich provided two assists Thursday in a 4-2 loss to Utah. Buchnevich registered the primary assist on each of St. Louis' goals in the loss, and it was his third multi-point effort of the season. The left-shot winger added one shot, one hit and a minus-2 rating in 18:37 of ice time. Buchnevich has been streaky early on in the season -- seven of his nine points have come in three games combined. The 29-year-old is in a three-way tie for second on the team in points, and overall, he's up to four goals, five assists, seven PIM, 24 shots, 10 blocks, nine hits, five takeaways and an even plus-minus rating over 14 outings.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Deposits empty-netter
Buchnevich scored an empty-net goal on two shots and added five PIM in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Maple Leafs. Buchnevich took out some frustration on Pontus Holmberg following the Toronto forward's slash against Jake Neighbours in the third period. Buchnevich was released from the penalty box in time to score an empty-netter, ending a three-game dry spell on offense. The 29-year-old has four goals, three assists, 20 shots on net, eight hits, 10 blocked shots, seven PIM and a plus-3 rating over 12 contests this season. That's modest offense for a player that's topped the 60-point mark in three straight years, though he may be hampered by focusing on the increased defensive responsibilities that have come with his move to playing center full-time -- he's also a paltry 42-for-144 on faceoffs, a 29.2 percent win rate.... Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Gets points, struggles at dot
Buchnevich put up two assists Thursday in a 5-1 win over Toronto. The points were his first in five games. The Buchnevich experiment at 1C seems to be working in all parts of the game except at the faceoff dot. He was schooled there Thursday, winning just four of 15 (26.7 percent). There will be more pressure on him now that Robert Thomas faces a six-week absence due to a broken ankle. That could impact Buchnevich's offense, but it could also be his catalyst to excellence....
