Wild's Kirill Kaprizov: Racks up three points in win
Kaprizov scored twice on four shots, dished an assist, added two hits, blocked four shots and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Golden Knights in Game 2.
Kaprizov scored the Wild's fourth and fifth goals of the contest, with the latter being an empty-netter. There's been no concern over Minnesota's top line early in the playoffs -- Kaprizov has earned five points, five shots on net, seven blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over the first two games of the postseason. He'll look to keep things rolling on home ice in Thursday's Game 3.

Wild's Kirill Kaprizov: Dishes pair of helpers
Kaprizov notched two assists and three blocked shots in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Golden Knights in Game 1.
Kaprizov has two goals and four assists over five contests since returning from a lower-body injury. He's been a boost to the Wild's offense, but the rest of the team will also need to play well against a fully healthy Golden Knights squad. Kaprizov had 56 points despite being limited to 41 regular-season contests, so he should be productive as long as Minnesota's playoff run lasts.

Wild's Kirill Kaprizov: Sets up game-winner
Kaprizov notched an assist, four shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Canucks.
Kaprizov found Mats Zuccarello for the game-winning goal 2:47 into overtime. With four points over three games since returning from a lower-body injury, it hasn't taken any time at all for Kaprizov to find his form. The star winger is up to 56 points, 142 shots on net and a plus-19 rating over 40 appearances this season. Had he not lost half the year to injuries, he could have made a formidable challenge to his career-high 108 points from the 2021-22 campaign.

Wild's Kirill Kaprizov: Dynamic in return from injury
Kaprizov scored twice on nine shots and added an assist in Wednesday's 8-7 overtime win over the Sharks.
Kaprizov's first goal and his assist were both on the power play. He then helped the Wild stave off an embarrassing meltdown, scoring the game-winning goal 1:01 into overtime. He had missed 40 of the previous 43 games due to a lower-body injury that ultimately required surgery in January. Prior to losing nearly half the season, the 27-year-old had been among the best scorers in the league. Even with the lost time, he has 25 goals, 55 points (14 on the power play), 137 shots on net and a plus-18 rating over 38 appearances this season.

Wild's Kirill Kaprizov: Might be back Wednesday
Kaprizov (lower body) might be available to return Wednesday versus San Jose, head coach John Hynes told Jessi Pierce of NHL.com.
Kaprizov was last in the lineup Jan. 26. He's a massive part of the Wild's offense, providing 23 goals and 52 points in 37 appearances this campaign. Minnesota has averaged just 2.25 goals over its past 28 outings without Kaprizov compared to the team's average of 2.92 during the Wild's first 50 games. Kaprizov will presumably serve on the top line and first power-play unit if he's able to play against the Sharks.

Wild's Kirill Kaprizov: Activated off IR
Kaprizov (lower body) was removed from injured reserve ahead of Wednesday's clash with San Jose, per the NHL media site.
Kaprizov will be back in the lineup for the first time since Jan. 26 versus the Blackhawks, a stretch of 28 games on the shelf due to his lower-body issue. In addition to linking up with one of the two power-play units, the Russian winger is expected to slot into a second-line role against the Sharks.

Wild's Kirill Kaprizov: Set for doctor visit
Kaprizov (lower body) practiced Sunday and has an appointment scheduled with his doctor, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports.
Kaprizov has missed the last 24 games and remains week-to-week, but his checkup could provide a better timeline for a potential return to the lineup. The 33-year-old forward will travel with the Wild on the team's three-game road trip, which begins Monday against New Jersey, but he likely won't be available to play. Kaprizov has registered 23 goals, 52 points and 128 shots on net in 37 appearances this season.

Kaprizov will miss his 23rd straight game versus Washington on Thursday. He appears to be progressing, but his return to the lineup is not imminent. Kaprizov will probably travel with the Wild on the team's upcoming three-game road trip, which begins Monday against New Jersey and could start practicing with his teammates. Kaprizov has amassed 23 goals, 52 points and 128 shots on net in 37 appearances this season.

Wild's Kirill Kaprizov: Will be out longer than expected
Kaprizov (lower body) is slated to be out "longer than we originally expected," GM Bill Guerin said Friday, per NHL.com.
The Wild expected Kaprizov to miss a minimum of four weeks after undergoing surgery in late January. While a timetable for his return remains unclear, Guerin's recent statement suggests the 27-year-old forward is not close to being available. Kaprizov has been fantastic when healthy this campaign, supplying 23 goals and 52 points in 37 appearances.

Wild's Kirill Kaprizov: Moves to LTIR
Kaprizov (lower body) was placed on long-term injured reserve Sunday.
The move from IR to LTIR, which is retroactive to Jan. 26, likely won't impact Kaprizov's recovery from a lingering lower-body injury. He will miss a minimum of four weeks after having surgery Friday. Kaprizov has registered 23 goals, 52 points and 128 shots on net across 37 appearances this season.

Wild's Kirill Kaprizov: Shifts to IR
Kaprizov (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.
Minnesota also placed Jonas Brodin (lower body) on long-term injured reserve. The moves will allow the Wild to recall an extra forward from AHL Iowa for the team's four-game road trip. Kaprizov will miss at least four weeks after Minnesota determined Tuesday that he needs surgery to repair a lingering lower-body injury. He has amassed 23 goals, 52 points and 128 shots on net across 37 appearances this season.

Wild's Kirill Kaprizov: Headed for surgery
Kaprizov will undergo surgery Friday to address the lower-body injury that previously sidelined him for 12 games. At a minimum, the winger is expected to miss four weeks, though it could be longer, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports.
Kaprizov was fairly solid in his last three games back from that injury, recording two assists and eighth shots while averaging 20:06 of ice time. According to general manager Bill Guerin, the 27-year-old Kaprizov likely could have played through the injury but would have only been at about 60 percent. Instead, the Wild will shut the Russian down and look to an end-of-season push. On the year, Kaprizov has managed 23 goals and 29 helpers in 37 appearances but almost certainly will miss the 40-goal mark for the first time since his rookie campaign back in 2020-21.

Wild's Kirill Kaprizov: Helps out on power play
Kaprizov logged a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Blackhawks.
Kaprizov set up a Joel Eriksson Ek tally in the second period, which stood as the game-winner. With a helper in each of the last two games, Kaprizov is slowly getting back on track after a 12-game absence due to a lower-body injury. The superstar winger is up to 52 points (12 on the power play), 128 shots on net and a plus-19 rating over 37 appearances. Even with the lengthy absence, it's possible Kaprizov could push for a 100-point campaign if he returns to the level he played at early in 2024-25.

Wild's Kirill Kaprizov: Notches helper in loss
Kaprizov registered an assist and three shots on goal in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Flames.
This was Kaprizov's second game back after missing 12 contests due to a lower-body injury. He's taken a little time to get back up to speed, which is fair given the length of his absence. The 27-year-old is at 23 goals, 28 helpers, 126 shots on net and a plus-20 rating through 36 appearances this season. Kaprizov was generating some MVP buzz prior to his injury, but the Wild and his fantasy managers just need him to look like the best player on the ice on a game-to-game basis.

Kaprizov (lower body) was placed on long-term injured reserve Thursday, retroactive to Dec. 23.
Kaprizov is eligible to return Saturday versus the Predators. Brendan Gaunce and Liam Ohgren were called up from AHL Iowa following Kaprizov's move to LTIR.

As a result, the 27-year-old Russian will have been sidelined for at least nine games due to his lower-body issue.
