Bedard has filled a playmaking role in the preseason with a goal, five assists and 16 shots on net over four contests. The 19-year-old center was dominant Saturday in a game that featured few bona fide NHLers, though Bedard's talent level can't be questioned. He'll be the centerpiece of Chicago's offense in 2024-25.

Blackhawks' Connor Bedard: Scores goal Tuesday
Bedard found the back of the net in Tuesday's 7-2 preseason loss to Minnesota.
Bedard scored with the man advantage late in the second period, but his marker merely reduced the Wild's edge to 6-2. The 19-year-old forward was a standout in his rookie campaign, collecting 22 goals and 61 points in 68 contests last season. He should do even better as a sophomore while serving on Chicago's top line and first power-play unit.

Bedard notched an assist in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Golden Knights.
Bedard set up Jason Dickinson for the Blackhawks' lone tally in the loss. With four points over seven contests in April, Bedard has faded late in the season. He's at 61 points, 205 shots on net, 53 hits and a minus-41 rating through 67 appearances while seeing steady top-line usage as a rookie.

Blackhawks' Connor Bedard: Reaches 60 points
Bedard registered a power-play assist in Friday's 5-1 loss to the Predators.
The Predators converted on all three of their power-play opportunities whereas the Blackhawks lit the lamp on one of their four chances with the extra attacker. Bedard set up a one-timer for Philipp Kurashev that was clocked in at 91 miles per hour on the way to Chicago's lone tally. It's safe to say that Bedard has not looked out of place on hockey's biggest stage, as the 18-year-old phenom has dialed in 60 points (22 goals, 38 assists) -- including 21 power-play points -- through 65 games.

Blackhawks' Connor Bedard: Snags assist in comeback win
Bedard provided an assist, fired six shots on goal and went plus-2 in Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over the Sharks.
Bedard helped out on a Seth Jones goal in the third period, which got the Blackhawks to a 4-3 deficit. The 18-year-old Bedard has had a fantastic March with 15 points over 11 outings. The rookie phenom is up to 21 goals, 34 assists, 177 shots on net, 43 hits and a minus-37 rating over 57 appearances this season.

Bedard has a stunning eight points over his last two games as the Blackhawks' offense has suddenly come to life. Three of his assists Tuesday came on the power play. The 18-year-old is now flirting with a point-per-game pace -- he's up to 20 goals and 31 helpers through 52 outings. The center has added 160 shots on net, 39 hits and an ugly minus-36 rating on a poor Blackhawks squad.

Blackhawks' Connor Bedard: Two goals, three points in win
Bedard tallied two goals and added an assist in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Coyotes.
All three of Bedard's points came in the second period. He got Chicago on the board, banking a shot from behind the net off a Coyotes defenseman and past Connor Ingram, before adding a second goal on the power play later in the frame. Bedard would add a third point with an assist on Tyler Johnson's tally, also on the man advantage. The 18-year-old Bedard had gone eight games without a goal coming into Sunday's matchup, recording four assists in that span. He's up to 19 goals and 46 points through 51 games in his rookie campaign.

Bedard has now gone seven games without a goal, picking up four helpers in that span. The rookie center set up Seth Jones and Nick Foligno for the Blackhawks' first two goals. Bedard is up to 43 points, including 13 on the power play, through 49 appearances. He's added 143 shots on net, 36 hits and a minus-36 rating. Bedard's steady offense amid a poor team situation makes his rookie year all the more impressive.

Bedard has cooled off since a hot return from a jaw injury. His helper Saturday was his second point over the last five games, though the Blackhawks have just seven goals in that span. The 18-year-old phenom is up to 41 points, 140 shots on net and a minus-31 rating through 47 appearances. There's not much to like about the Blackhawks' roster, but Bedard is a clear bright spot and will be for years to come.

Bedard scored a power-play goal and added two assists in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Hurricanes.
One of Bedard's helpers also came on the power play, and he had a second goal overturned when the play was reviewed for being offside. The 18-year-old phenom has picked up right where he left off prior to his broken jaw, amassing six points over three games since his return. He's up to 17 goals, 22 assists, 10 power-play points, 128 shots on net and a minus-24 rating through 42 appearances.
