  • Hurricanes' Skyler Brind'Amour: Staying in Carolina's organization

Brind'Amour penned a one-year, $775,000 contract with the Hurricanes on Monday, per PuckPedia.

Brind'Amour appeared in two regular-season games with the Hurricanes in 2024-25, scoring his first career NHL goal on his only shot. The left-shot forward also recorded 16 goals, 24 points and a minus-14 rating over 68 regular-season appearances with AHL Chicago. Carolina has a deep forward group, and considering Brind'Amour's new deal is a two-way contract, he's likely to spend the whole campaign with the Wolves unless multiple injuries open up a spot with the big club.

  • Islanders' Travis Mitchell: Signs two-way deal

Mitchell inked a one-year, $775,000 contract with the Islanders on Monday, according to PuckPedia.

This is a two-way deal for Mitchell, who is likely to spend most, if not all, of the 2025-26 campaign with AHL Bridgeport. The 25-year-old defenseman accounted for four goals, 13 points, 101 PIM and a minus-22 rating over 65 appearances in the minors last season.

Islanders' Victor Eklund: Signs entry-level contract

Eklund signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Islanders on Monday.

Eklund accounted for 19 goals and 31 points in 42 regular-season games with Djurgardens IF of Sweden's HockeyAllsvenskan in 2024-25. He added five assists and seven points in 16 qualification games to get the club back into the SHL for the 2025-26 campaign. After being selected by the Islanders with the No. 16 overall pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft, Eklund will probably remain in Sweden for now.

  • Sharks' Jack Thompson: Pens two-way pact

Thompson signed a one-year, two-way contract with San Jose on Monday.

Thompson contributed four goals, 10 points, 41 shots on net and 54 blocked shots across 31 NHL regular-season appearances with the Sharks in 2024-25. He also had three goals and 14 points in 27 outings with AHL San Jose during the 2024-25 regular season. The Sharks added veteran blueliners Dmitry Orlov, John Klingberg and Nick Leddy in the offseason, which could lead to the 23-year-old Thompson starting the 2025-26 campaign in the minors.

  • Jets' Morgan Barron: Lands two-year contract

Barron signed a two-year, $3.7 million contract with Winnipeg on Monday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Barron registered eight goals, 15 points, 92 shots on net and 122 hits across 74 regular-season appearances with the Jets in 2024-25. He will probably occupy a bottom-six role with the team during the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Lightning's Scott Sabourin: Inks one-year deal

Sabourin signed a one-year, two-way contract with Tampa Bay on Sunday.

Sabourin compiled 10 goals, 25 points and 111 PIM across 68 regular-season games with AHL San Jose in 2024-25. The 32-year-old forward has two goals, eight points and 58 PIM in 47 career NHL regular-season appearances. However, he will probably spend most, if not all, of the 2025-26 campaign in the minors.

  • Canucks' Chase Stillman: Dealt to Vancouver

Vancouver acquired Stillman and a 2027 fourth-round pick from Pittsburgh on Sunday in exchange for Arturs Silovs.

Stillman produced four goals and 12 points in 65 regular-season AHL games between Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Utica in 2024-25. The Penguins obtained him in a trade with New Jersey on March 7, which involved Cody Glass. The 22-year-old Stillman hasn't had a chance to make his NHL debut yet.

  • Penguins' Arturs Silovs: Dealt to Steel City

Pittsburgh acquired Silovs from Vancouver on Sunday in exchange for Chase Stillman and a 2027 fourth-round pick.

Silovs posted a 16-7 record with a 2.01 GAA and a .931 save percentage in 24 playoff outings en route to helping AHL Abbotsford win a Calder Cup title last campaign. Over the past three NHL regular seasons, the 24-year-old netminder has earned a record of 8-8-2 with a 3.13 GAA and an .880 save percentage across 19 appearances. Silovs could be in the mix for an increased role with the Penguins in 2025-26, especially if Tristan Jarry continues to have consistency issues.

  • Kieffer Bellows: Signs with SHL team

Bellows signed a one-year contract with Brynas IF of the SHL on Sunday.

Bellows had 15 goals and 16 assists in 44 regular-season appearances with AHL Milwaukee in 2024-25 before adding nine points in 10 playoff outings. The 27-year-old forward also collected two goals, two helpers, 28 shots on net and 35 hits across 19 NHL regular-season games with Nashville last campaign.

  • Nikolai Kovalenko: Headed back to KHL

Kovalenko inked a two-year contract with CSKA Moscow of the KHL on Saturday.
