Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Questionable after limited practice
Rotowire
Irving (back) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chargers after returning to practice Friday as a limited participant.
The designation was expected after coach Todd Bowles said earlier Friday that Irving will go through a pregame workout before the Buccaneers decide on his active status. That's not ideal for fantasy managers, especially ahead of a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff, but there are at least more late-afternoon and primetime games than usual this week, which expands the pool of replacement options if Irving is deemed inactive. Rachaad White will lead Tampa Bay's backfield if Irving doesn't play, with Sean Tucker getting some touches off the bench.
Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles suggested Friday that Irving (back/hip) may be a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup with the Chargers, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Bowles said the team wants to put Irving through a pregame workout before making a decision on his active status. A questionable designation on the final injury report now seems likely, with fantasy managers potentially headed for a tricky situation ahead of a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday.

Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Not seen during practice
Rotowire
Irving (back/hip) didn't participate in the media-access portion of Friday's practice, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
Irving worked with a trainer on the field before practice but then went inside once the session started. Auman notes that it's possible Irving returned to practice once it was closed off to reporters, although the more likely outcome is that the running back simply didn't participate. Irving played through a hip injury last week against the Raiders, only to make an early exit in the second quarter due to back tightness. He never returned to the game and didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday.

Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Sits out Wednesday
Rotowire
Irving (back/hip) missed Wednesday's walk-through practice, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Irving exited late in the first half of this past Sunday's win against the Raiders due to a back injury, which head coach Todd Bowles clarified as tightness one day later, per Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site. Irving will have two more chances to prove his health before the team potentially makes a ruling on his status for Sunday's contest at the Chargers. Rachaad White would stand to benefit if Irving is available in only a limited capacity or inactive this weekend, while Sean Tucker would bump up a spot in the backfield pecking order for Tampa Bay.

Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Dealing with back tightness
Rotowire
Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said Monday that Irving (back) had his back tighten up during Sunday's 28-13 win against the Raiders, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Bowles said Irving's availability Week 15 against the Chargers will depend on whether his back loosens up in time for the road matchup. In the event that Irving isn't able to get right in time to suit up in Los Angeles, Rachaad White will be positioned to lead Tampa Bay's backfield, with Sean Tucker handling the No. 2 role.

Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Injures back Sunday
Rotowire
Irving suffered a back injury during Sunday's game against the Raiders.
Irving tended to hip and back issues during Week 14 prep, and the latter seemingly has been aggravated, per Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. If he's unable to return, Irving will finish Sunday's contest with four carries for three yards and one catch (on one target) for 15 yards. Rachaad White and Sean Tucker are the healthy RBs on the Buccaneers' active roster.

Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Expected to suit up Sunday
Rotowire
Irving (hip), who is questionable for Sunday's game against Las Vegas, is in line to play, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Irving missed Tampa Bay's first two practices of the week but was able to return as a limited participant Friday. Though he was deemed questionable entering the weekend, the rookie running back looks like he'll be officially cleared to play when Tampa Bay releases its inactive list 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff. Irving is coming off the best game of his career last week against Carolina, as he logged career-high totals of 25 carries for 152 yards along with a rushing touchdown while adding three catches for 33 yards.

Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Questionable for Week 14
Rotowire
Irving (hip) was a limited practice participant Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
A return to practice at the end of the week improves Irving's chances of playing, but the Buccaneers aren't ready to commit to it two days before the game. A 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff is good news for Irving's fantasy managers, leaving plenty of replacement options if he's declared inactive or reports suggest his role will be scaled back. Any lost work for Irving figures to go to Rachaad White and Sean Tucker, with the former in particular making for a strong fantasy start in the event Irving is inactive.

Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Returns to practice
Rotowire
Irving (hip) is practicing Friday, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
Reporters saw Irving at Thursday's practice, but he ultimately was listed as a non-participant for the second straight day. It sounds like he's doing more Friday and has a chance to play this Sunday against Las Vegas.

Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Officially DNP on Thursday
Rotowire
Irving (hip/back) officially was a non-participant at Thursday's practice.
Despite a report earlier Thursday from Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times that Irving was taking part in practice, the rookie fourth-round pick went down as a DNP for a second day in a row due to hip and back issues. Irving will have another chance Friday to mix into drills, and his listing on the Buccaneers' final Week 14 injury report may shed light into his odds to suit up Sunday versus the Raiders. Rachaad White and Sean Tucker are the healthy running backs on Tampa Bay's active roster.

Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Back at practice Thursday
Rotowire
Irving (hip/back) was seen participating in the portion of Thursday's practice that was open to the media, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Irving sat out Wednesday's session due to a pair of injuries, but he looks poised to handle at least limited participation in Thursday's practice. The Buccaneers will release their second Week 14 injury report later Thursday, when the extent of Irving's activity will become known. In any case, Irving's ability to resume practicing in some fashion bodes well for his chances of being available Sunday versus the Raiders.

Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: RBs to Start
Rotowire
I made the wrong choice of Tampa Bay players as Start of the Week in Week 13 when I was deciding between Irving and Baker Mayfield, and Irving had a breakout performance at Carolina with 25 carries for 152 yards and a touchdown and three catches for 33 yards on three targets for 27.5 PPR points. He now has at least at least 15.4 PPR points in six of his past seven games, including three in a row, and he should stay hot against the Raiders in Week 14. Nine running backs have scored at least 15.5 PPR points against Las Vegas this season, and hopefully, Irving is fine with the hip injury he dealt with against the Panthers. If healthy, Irving has top-five upside in all leagues.

Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Hurts hip Sunday
Rotowire
Irving sustained a hip injury during Sunday's game in Carolina.
Per Greg Auman of Fox Sports, Irving was sporting a visible limp as the Buccaneers made their way to the locker room for halftime. Irving's stat line for the first half included nine carries for 32 yards and one catch (on one target) for 18 yards. Rachaad White and Sean Tucker are the other healthy running backs on the active roster.

Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: RBs to Start
Rotowire
Irving was amazing in Week 12 at the Giants with 12 carries for 87 yards and a touchdown and six catches for 64 yards on six targets. He's now scored at least 15.4 PPR points in five of his past six games, and he has at least three catches in five outings in a row. The Panthers are No. 1 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs, and eight running backs have scored at least 17.4 PPR points against Carolina this season. Irving has top-10 upside in all leagues, and I also like Rachaad White as a flex option in Week 13.

Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Impressive rushing day in loss
Rotowire
Irving rushed 13 times for 73 yards and a touchdown and secured all three targets for 14 yards in the Buccaneers' 23-20 loss to the 49ers on Sunday. He also recovered a fumble.
Irving outpaced Rachaad White by three carries and 42 rushing yards while adding his fourth rushing TD of the season on a 12-yard run early in the fourth quarter. Irving's carry total was the second highest of his young career, and he now has six straight games with multiple receptions. The 2024 fourth-round pick should enjoy a solid complementary role at minimum in a Week 12 road matchup against the Giants following a Week 11 bye.

Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Limited again Thursday
Rotowire
Irving (toe) was limited at Thursday's practice.
Irving managed just one capped session last week due to a toe injury before suiting up Monday at Kansas City, so he appears to be in a better spot this week with a pair of them in two attempts. Friday's practice report may give a sense of his odds to suit up Sunday against the 49ers, and if he's able to do so, he'll continue to split RB reps with Rachaad White, while Sean Tucker gets a few scraps.

Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: RBs to Sit
Rotowire
I expected Irving to struggle in Week 9 at Kansas City, and he finished the game with seven carries for 24 yards and three catches for 10 yards on three targets. He should have another tough outing against the 49ers in Week 10, and Irving is only worth using as a flex option in most leagues. Rachaad White is the more trustworthy Tampa Bay running back, and he has scored at least 12.5 PPR points in three games in a row. But he's also just a flex against San Francisco, and the 49ers' run defense should be able to contain Irving and White in this matchup.

Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Begins week as limited
Rotowire
Irving (toe) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday.
Last Thursday, head coach Todd Bowles revealed that Irving was dealing with a toe injury that may linger for the rest of the season, but the running back was able to suit up for Monday's overtime loss to Kansas City and turned his 10 touches into 34 yards from scrimmage. Meanwhile, backfield mate Rachaad White had six touches for 35 total yards and one rushing score, and Sean Tucker gained 17 yards on four touches. A similar breakdown for the trio likely will be the weekly reality as long as Irving continues to be able to play on game days.

Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Suiting up Monday
Rotowire
Irving (toe) is listed as active Monday at Kansas City, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
When Irving showed up on the Buccaneers' Week 9 injury report Thursday, coach Todd Bowles told Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times that the running back's toe injury was something the team will need to manage for the rest of the season. Irving proceeded to log only one limited session (Saturday) and left the weekend listed as questionable for Monday's game. With his availability now confirmed, he'll join forces with Rachaad White and Sean Tucker out of Tampa Bay's backfield. When all three players were active Weeks 7 and 8, Irving turned 18 carries into 67 yards and one touchdown and hauled in all 10 targets for 94 yards. Meanwhile, White had 27 touches, and Tucker was third with nine.

Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: At practice Saturday
Rotowire
Irving (toe) was present for practice Saturday, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
Irving missed practice Thursday and Friday as he continues to manage a toe issue, but his presence for Saturday's session bodes well for his availability for Monday night's game against the Chiefs. The Buccaneers' upcoming practice report will relay whether or not the running back carries a Week 9 injury designation.
