  • Falcons' Drake London: Leaves practice due to overheating

London left Friday's practice because of cramps and overheating, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

There was briefly concern about an injury when London made an early exit and was seen talking with trainers. It turns out he just needs rest and water, so it shouldn't be long before he's back to building chemistry with new starting quarterback Kirk Cousins.

  • Falcons' Drake London: Exits practice with injury

London left Friday's practice with an apparent injury, ESPN's Marc Raimondi reports.

Initial reports don't make it sound too serious, with London reportedly walking off the field and spending some time talking to trainers. His day is likely done, but it's unclear at this point if Atlanta's top WR will miss any additional practices.

  • Falcons' Kentavius Street: Participating in training camp

Street participated in Atlanta's training camp practice Thursday after recovering from a pectoral injury.

Street is now healthy after a pectoral injury held him out of the final four contests of last season. The 2018 fourth-round pick will likely serve as a reserve defender once again during the 2024 campaign.

  • Falcons' Drew Dalman: Back on the field

Dalman has now recovered from an ankle injury.

Dalman suffered an ankle injury during Week 17 of last season but was back on the field for the start of Atlanta's training camp. The 25-year-old will now look to help anchor the team's offensive line and open up holes for Bijan Robinson once the regular season begins.

  • Falcons' Robert Burns: Starting camp on PUP list

The Falcons placed Burns (undisclosed) on the active/PUP list Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Burns signed a reserve/future deal with the Falcons back in January after spending the 2023 season on the Bears' practice squad. He went undrafted out of UConn in 2023.

  • Falcons' Grady Jarrett: Cleared for start of camp

Jarrett (knee) has been medically cleared for the start of training camp this week, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official website reports.

Jarrett tore his ACL in Week 8 against the Titans last season but is healthy enough to get on the field for the start of camp. Coach Raheem Morris, however, said Jarrett will receiver "modified reps" this summer as he continues to work his way back from the injury. Now 31 years old, Jarrett isn't someone who needs a whole lot of practice reps in order to be ready for the season, though it is worth noting Morris is bringing a new defensive scheme to Atlanta.

  • Falcons' Zach Harrison: Healthy off knee injury

Harrison (knee) is participating in Falcons camp this week, Sports Illustrated's Daniel Flick reports.

Harrison was inactive for the Week 18 season finale last season with the knee issue, but he's over it now and is looking to build off a 2023 that saw him record 33 tackles (18 solo)l, including three sacks, as a reserve lineman. With Calais Campbell now with the Dolphins, it opens up a chance for Harrison to become a starter.

  • Falcons' Kaden Elliss: Fully healthy for camp

Elliss (knee) is healthy for the start of Falcons training camp, Sports Illustrated's Daniel Flick reports.

Elliss was injured in the Week 18 finale last season, but it evidently wasn't a serious issue, as the veteran linebacker participated in OTAs and minicamp earlier this offseason. Elliss started all 17 regular-season games last year, amassing a career-high 122 tackles (82 solo), including 11 tackles for loss and four sacks. Elliss figures to be among the leading tacklers again in 2024 as long as he's healthy.

  • Falcons' Kirk Cousins: Medically cleared for camp

Cousins (Achilles) is medically cleared for training camp but could have some "modifications" to his workload, William McFadden of the Falcons' official site reports.

In other words, Cousins might not get as many reps as a starting quarterback typically would even though he doesn't have any limitations in terms of the types of activities he can do. The Falcons have two good options to handle first-team QB reps when Cousins is rested, as they still have Taylor Heinicke and drafted Michael Penix eighth overall. The latter development could make things rather interesting in Atlanta if Cousins doesn't look like his Minnesota self in his age-36 season ahead. The Falcons were undeterred by the Achilles' tear he suffered late last October, giving Cousins a four-year, $180 million contract with half the money guaranteed at signing.

  • Falcons' Zack Bailey: Signs with Atlanta

Bailey (back) was signed to the Falcons' 90-man roster ahead of training camp Wednesday, Terrin Waack of the team's official website reports.

Bailey spent the 2023 season with the Chargers organization, ending the year on the team's injured reserve with a back injury, which he appears to have fully recovered from. He will now get another shot to prove himself with Atlanta, looking to earn a spot on the team's active roster as a depth option on the offensive line.
