Jets' Mark Scheifele: Collects pair of helpers
Scheifele notched two assists and three shots on goal in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Predators. This was Scheifele's first multi-point effort in five contests. One of the helpers came on the power play, his first contribution with the man advantage since Dec. 17. The center continues to play at a high level with 48 points (15 on the power play), 95 shots on net, 35 hits, 35 blocked shots, 23 PIM and a plus-4 rating over 42 games this season. Scheifele remains on pace to exceed the 90-point mark for the first time in his career.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Mark Scheifele: Garners helper Saturday
Scheifele registered an assist and two hits in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Red Wings. Scheifele has been a little quiet with two points over his last four contests, a span in which the Jets have just 10 goals as a team. The 31-year-old remains in a top-line role and there's little reason to think this is anything more than the usual ups and downs of a long season. Overall, he has 46 points, 92 shots on net, 35 hits, 34 blocked shots, 23 PIM and a plus-3 rating over 41 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Mark Scheifele: Nets goal Thursday
Scheifele scored a goal and took three shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Ducks. Scheifele found the twine just 33 seconds into the game, and he notched his 23rd goal of the campaign, but the Ducks would complete a comeback in the latter stages of the contest. Scheifele has been very consistent once again, and he's having another solid year while operating as one of the Jets' most important forwards. Through 40 appearances, the 31-year-old is up to 23 goals and 22 assists, good for 45 points while shooting a career-high 25.3 percent.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Mark Scheifele: Two points in comeback win
Scheifele produced a goal and an assist in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Senators. Both points came in the second period as the Jets erased an early 2-0 deficit. Scheifele has three multi-point performances in the last five games, and through 13 appearances in December, he's compiled 10 goals and 18 points.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Mark Scheifele: Tenth straight 20-goal season
Scheifele had a hat trick and four points in a 5-2 win over the Maple Leafs on Monday. Scheifele tipped-in the winner early in the third. He jammed in a loose puck from behind the net to drive the score up to 4-1; it was his 20th of the season. He completed the hattie with an empty-net goal. It's the 10th straight season that Scheifele has scored at least 20 goals. He has amped up his game of late, and he has 16 points (nine goals, seven assists) and 27 shots in his last 11 games. A career year may be in the cards if Scheifele and the Jets can maintain their impressive play.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Mark Scheifele: Scores in Wednesday's loss
Scheifele scored a goal on three shots in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Ducks. Scheifele has six goals and six assists over 10 outings in December. The 31-year-old put the Jets ahead 2-1 early in the third period, but the lead slipped away late in the frame. The center is up to 18 tallies, 38 points, 77 shots on net and a plus-1 rating through 34 appearances this season. Scheifele has reached the 80-point mark twice in his career and could do so again in 2024-25 if he stays on his current pace.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Mark Scheifele: Another three-point effort in win
Scheifele scored a power-play goal on two shots and added two assists in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Sharks. One of his assists also came with the man advantage. Scheifele has racked up five goals and six helpers over nine contests in December, flipping the script after he looked to be heading for regression in late November. The 31-year-old center is up to 17 tallies, 20 helpers, 14 power-play points, 74 shots on net, 30 hits, 29 blocked shots, 23 PIM and a plus-2 rating through 33 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Mark Scheifele: Three points including GWG
Scheifele scored two goals, one the game-winner and the other on the power play, and he added an assist in Tuesday's 8-1 rout of Boston. The 31-year-old center gave Winnipeg a 2-0 lead late in the first period, and the Jets didn't blow the game open until the third. Scheifele extended his point streak to five games in the process, a stretch in which he's piled up four goals and eight points, and on the season he's delivered 16 goals through 30 contests -- tying him for eighth in the NHL with teammate Kyle Connor.... Jets' Mark Scheifele: Finds twine in win
Scheifele scored a goal on four shots in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Blackhawks. Scheifele has four points over his last three games. He seemed to be bothered by a nagging issue in late November, but it looks to be behind him now. Scheifele's back to playing center instead of wing on the top line, and he's at 30 points, 63 shots on net, 29 hits, 23 blocked shots, 21 PIM and a plus-3 rating over 28 outings. He can be deployed confidently in fantasy given his prominent role on a strong team.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Mark Scheifele: Offense picking back up
Scheifele had two assists Thursday in a 3-2 overtime win over Buffalo. Scheifele had been quietly offensively of late, so it was nice to see him get two helpers -- he has just five points (one goal, four assists) over his last eight games, including three points in his last two contests. Perhaps most importantly, Scheifele won 14 of 25 face-offs -- he's seen more time at wing than center of late due to an undisclosed issue. The big pivot's slower offensive pace will likely increase now as well. Whatever was ailing him appears to be behind him.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Mark Scheifele: Scores lone goal in loss
Scheifele scored a goal on three shots in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Blues. Scheifele began the game on right wing, with Vladislav Namestnikov moving up to the top line. In the contest, Scheifele won six of 15 faceoffs -- over the last handful of games, he had seen a reduced role at the dot, though he's played through whatever issue has limited him. The 31-year-old snapped a six-game goal drought and now has 13 tallies, 27 points, 57 shots on net, 26 hits, 23 blocked shots, 21 PIM and a plus-1 rating over 26 appearances. The Jets are still in a rough patch, but Scheifele figures to continue playing a prominent role as they look to get back to their early-season form.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Mark Scheifele: Draws assist Monday
Scheifele logged an assist, three shots on goal, three hits, two blocked shots and two PIM in Monday's 4-1 win over the Wild. Scheifele didn't take a faceoff Monday -- he's likely dealing with something that he can play through, but it's prevented him from being heavily involved at the dot over the last three games. The center is still contributing in other ways, and as long as he's scoring, fantasy managers won't have much to complain about. The 31-year-old has five points over his last four contests, and he's up to 12 goals, 14 assists, 50 shots on net, 23 hits, 20 blocked shots, 21 PIM and a plus-4 rating through 22 outings overall.... Jets' Mark Scheifele: Generates helper in win
Scheifele logged an assist in Friday's 4-1 win over the Penguins. Scheifele helped out on Kyle Connor's empty-netter. This was an unusual game for Scheifele -- he took just two faceoffs, with winger Gabriel Vilardi filling in at the dot most of the time on the top line. It's unclear if there is an injury concern, as Scheifele led all Jets forwards with 18:53 of ice time. The veteran center has six goals and six helpers over 10 contests in November, putting him at 25 points, 46 shots on net, 18 hits, 16 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating across 20 outings overall.... Jets' Mark Scheifele: Hat trick in Tuesday's win
Scheifele scored three goals, one on the power play and another the game-winner, in Tuesday's 6-3 victory over the Panthers. The veteran center found the back of the net in each period, with his third-period one-timer giving the Jets a 4-2 lead. Scheifele is on pace for a career-best campaign, piling up 12 goals and 24 points through 19 contests, although his 26.7 percent shooting is likely due for some regression.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Mark Scheifele: Eight-game, 11-point streak
Scheifele scored twice Tuesday in a 6-3 win over the Rangers. His first goal came just 57 seconds into the game after he capitalized from between the circles on a Mika Zibanejad giveaway in the Rangers zone. Scheifele then scored the winner from in front early in the third after a teammate stripped Zibanejad of the puck again. He's on an eight-game, 11-point scoring streak that includes four power-play points and 17 shots. Scheifele has had two 80-plus point seasons in his career, including a career-best 84 in 2018-19. With 21 points in 16 games, he's on pace to set a career high this year.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Mark Scheifele: Logs assist to extend streak
Scheifele notched an assist in Thursday's 1-0 win over the Avalanche. Scheifele capitalized on a turnover at the Jets' blue line and sent a pass to Gabriel Vilardi for the game's only goal just 1:06 into the contest. The helper gave Scheifele a six-game point streak (two tallies, six assists). The 31-year-old center continues to excel in a first-line role with seven goals, 11 assists, 34 shots on net, 12 hits, nine blocked shots and a plus-5 rating through 14 appearances.... See More ...
