  • Patriots' Hunter Henry: Another two-catch game

Henry logged 56 of a possible 60 snaps on offense in Sunday's 15-10 loss to the Dolphins, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. For the third straight game and fourth time in five contests overall, Henry caught exactly two passes, this time around on four targets for 32 yards. Henry's eight-catch effort in Week 2 stands out as an outlier, though the tight end's steady playing time does at least keep him involved in the Patriots passing attack on a weekly basis. If the team switches to Drake Maye at quarterback, Henry could see more looks as a security blanket for the rookie.

  • Patriots' Hunter Henry: TEs to Sit

Henry scored 18.9 PPR points in Week 2 against Seattle, but he's combined for 9.9 PPR points in his other three games. Austin Hooper has as many targets as Henry in the past two weeks (six), and Hooper scored a touchdown in Week 4 at San Francisco. The Dolphins have yet to allow a tight end to score a touchdown, and Henry is only worth using in deeper leagues in this matchup.

  • Patriots' Hunter Henry: Makes two catches Sunday

Henry brought in two of three targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 30-13 loss to San Francisco. Henry finished with disappointing numbers for the third time in four starts this season. The veteran tight end saw one more target than backup Austin Hooper, but the latter was the recipient of Jacoby Brissett's lone passing touchdown in the loss. Henry showed us in Week 2 that he can be a fantasy factor, but that glow has faded heading into Sunday's tilt against the Dolphins.

  • Patriots' Hunter Henry: Ready for Week 4 contest

Henry (ankle) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against the 49ers. After logging limited practices Wednesday and Thursday, Henry worked in full to close out the week, setting the stage for him to be available to face San Francisco on the road this weekend. Henry's been a hit-or-miss fantasy option out of the gate this season in the Patriots' Jacoby Brissett-helmed offense, with two-catch efforts in Weeks 1 and 3, and an 8-109-0 line on 12 targets in the team's Week 2 loss to the Seahawks. In that context, he profiles as a speculative lineup option for Week 4, given the inconsistency of his team's passing game.

  • Patriots' Hunter Henry: TEs to Sit

Henry had a huge game in Week 2 against Seattle with eight catches for 109 yards on 12 targets. In his other two games, Henry has combined for four catches for 27 yards on six targets. This week, he's facing a 49ers defense that is No. 1 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends, and San Francisco should keep Henry in check in Week 4.

  • Patriots' Hunter Henry: Limited by ankle issue

Henry was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to an ankle injury, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. After a big game in Week 2 (eight catches for 109 yards on 12 targets), Henry caught two of his three targets for nine yards in this past Thursday's loss to the Jets, while recording a 63 percent snap share in the contest. Now managing an ankle issue as the Patriots begin Week 4 prep, the tight end will need to practice fully by Friday in order to avoid an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the 49ers.

  • Patriots' Hunter Henry: Two catches versus Jets

Henry was on the field for 33 of the Patriots' 52 snaps on offense in Thursday's 24-3 loss to the Jets en route to catching two of his three targets for nine yards in the contest, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. After racking up eight catches on a team-high 12 targets for 109 yards in this past Sunday's 23-20 overtime loss to the Seahawks, Henry's volume dipped Thursday night in a game in which New England's offense stalled. Meanwhile, WR DeMario Douglas led the team with nine targets. Looking ahead, Henry figures to have outings where he'll make more of an impact, but the team's inconsistent passing attack makes him a hit-or-miss fantasy option.

  • Patriots' Hunter Henry: Sleepers (Start/Sit)

I'm willing to start Henry in all leagues in Week 3 at the Jets after the way he played in Week 2. He was a star against Seattle with eight catches for 109 yards on 12 targets, and hopefully that's a sign of things to come. Now, he only had two catches for 18 yards on three targets in Week 1 at Cincinnati, but Jacoby Brissett will likely continue to lean on Henry while the young Patriots receiving corps finds its way. This could be another standout outing for Henry on Thursday night.

  • Patriots' Hunter Henry: Week 3 Streamers (TE Preview)

Both Jacoby Brissett and Alex Van Pelt have an extended history of featuring the tight end in the passing game, so the fact that Henry leads the Patriots in target share shouldn't be that surprising, especially when you look at their wide receivers. But it is also worth remembering that Henry only had two catches on three targets in Week 1. I'm not starting him over any of the top nine tight ends, but he is the top streamer.

  • Patriots' Hunter Henry: Week 3 Waiver Priority List

Henry was a star in Week 2 against Seattle with eight catches for 109 yards on 12 targets. He had two catches for 18 yards on three targets in Week 1, but Jacoby Brissett will likely continue to lean on Henry while the young Patriots receiving corps finds its way. Heading into Week 3 at the Jets, Henry is worth using as a low-end starter in all leagues, and he should be added for at least 10 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Patriots' Hunter Henry: Tops 100 yards

Henry recorded eight receptions on 12 targets for 109 yards in Sunday's 23-20 overtime loss to the Seahawks. Henry was the clear favorite target for Jacoby Brissett, as no other player was targeted more than five times nor surpassed 12 yards. He worked primarily in the short areas of the field but did rack up yards after the catch to tally long gains of 35 and 17 yards. The Patriots have played conservatively on offense through two games, so it may be difficult for Henry to replicate this performance regularly.

  • Patriots' Hunter Henry: Two catches in season-opening win

Henry brought in two of three targets for 18 yards in the Patriots' 16-10 win over the Bengals on Sunday. Henry had a quiet afternoon but certainly wasn't alone among his pass-catching teammates, as the Patriots leveraged dominant performances by Rhamondre Stevenson and their defense for a season-opening upset victory. The veteran tight end should continue to enjoy a steady role throughout the season while working with either veteran Jacoby Brissett or rookie Drake Maye, as both should value his reliability when dropping back. However, how much passing volume there will be week to week remains an open question, so Henry's outlook isn't particularly bright heading into a Week 2 home battle against the Seahawks.

  • Patriots' Hunter Henry: Logs full practice

Henry was a full participant in practice Wednesday after contending with a foot injury during the preseason. Henry's injury was previously undisclosed, but the tight end's full participation Wednesday sets the stage for him to be available for Sunday's season opener against the Bengals. While the Patriots seem likely to take a run-heavy approach on offense, Henry could still end up seeing enough targets from starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett to merit consideration in fantasy lineups. Henry logged six touchdowns in 14 games in 2023, and should once again serve as a useful option for the team in close.

  • Patriots' Hunter Henry: Week 1 Waiver Priority List

Henry should end up being a reliable weapon for either Drake Maye or Jacoby Brissett, and Henry is a good No. 2 tight end to stash on your bench in deeper formats. New offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt could help Henry in a big way since Van Pelt has been in Cleveland the last four seasons, helping to run one of the more tight end-centric offenses in the NFL. Henry had four games in 2023 with at least six targets, and he scored at least 13.9 PPR points in each of them.

  • Patriots' Hunter Henry: Remains sidelined Sunday

Henry (undisclosed) isn't in uniform for Sunday's preseason finale against the Commanders, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports. Henry remains sidelined due to his undisclosed injury, while fellow injured tight end Austin Hooper (undisclosed) is dressed against Washington. Further updates on Henry's status will surface before the Patriots begin regular-season play Sunday, Sept. 8 against the Bengals.

  • Patriots' Hunter Henry: Not playing Thursday

Henry (undisclosed) isn't in uniform ahead of Thursday's preseason game against the Eagles, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports. Per Lazar, Henry has been dealing with an injury of late that isn't expected to sideline him for long, but the Patriots will play it safe with the tight end in their second exhibition tilt. In any case, Henry's standing as the team's top option at his position remains secure.

  • Patriots' Hunter Henry: Dealing with minor injury

Henry will miss practice Tuesday with an unspecified injury that isn't expected to be serious, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports. The issue reportedly came up in Sunday's practice, with Henry then sitting out Monday and now set to miss at least one more session. He was rested for the preseason opener and now seems unlikely to play in Thursday's exhibition against the Eagles, but it doesn't sound like the Patriots are too worried about the tight end's availability for Week 1.

  • Patriots' Hunter Henry: Doesn't play Thursday

Henry didn't play in Thursday's preseason opener versus the Panthers, Chad Graff of The Athletic reports. Per Zack Cox of the Boston Herald, Henry suited up Thursday but did not play, so it's possible that the tight end could be managing a minor injury. In any case, while there's plenty of snaps up for grabs in the Patriots' crowded WR corps, Henry's standing as the team's top TE appears secure ahead of Week 1.

  • Patriots' Hunter Henry: Re-signing with Pats

Henry (knee) is finalizing a deal to stay with the Patriots, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Henry completed a three-year, $37.5 million contract with New England and would've been eligible for free agency next week. He'll instead stick around under a new coaching staff, after averaging 44.3 catches for 510.3 yards and 5.7 TDs on 65.0 targets in his previous three years with the Patriots. The 29-year-old tight end figures to keep his starting job but doesn't figure to have much fantasy appeal in an offense that's expected to either have a rookie or journeyman veteran under center to start the season. There's been no indication of Henry needing surgery on the knee injury that cost him the final three weeks of 2023 -- his only absences since 2020, when he was still with the Chargers.

  • Patriots' Hunter Henry: Catches 42 passes this past season

Henry (knee) finished the 2023 regular-season with 42 catches on 61 targets for 419 yards and six TDs in 14 games. A knee issue sidelined Henry for the Patriots' final three contests, with the tight end ultimately having been placed on IR ahead of Week 18 action. With the three-year, $37.5 million contract that the 29-year-old signed with the team back in March of 2021 now having been completed, Henry is eligible to become a an unrestricted free agent this offseason. While there figures to be plenty of roster turnover in New England during the coming months following a 4-13 campaign, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site suggests that Henry could end up being a priority re-signing, especially if the franchise turns over the reins to a new young signal-caller, a context in which rostering a player (like Henry) who can be a reliable security blanket between the numbers and in the red zone would be valuable.
